The food was great. Everything was fresh and piping hot. They didn't have any AC so it was a bit uncomfortable in the building. We just waited in the car but I do feel bad for the employees working in our hottest temperatures with no air.

Lape Soup Food has the Best Prices for Lunch Dinners from 1030am to 3pm Monday thru Friday I always buy 2 dinners Bake Chicken smother, with collard Greens and cornbread dressing for my first dinner. 2nd dinner always Fried smother pork chops, green beans with potatoes and candied yams. My Dinners are always Hot and Fresh I Love Lape its the Best Soul Food in Warren Michigan. I forgot to mention please order the Fried Turkey chops smother its always tender and Delicious

This was my 2nd visit. Didn't like my meal the first time so I decided to try something different. The meats didn't look appealing so I chose a veggie plate (greens, potatoes, corn, okra, cornbread). The geens were flavorless and had grit in them, mashed potatoes were good, corn was ok, the okra wasn't good, and I was completely disappointed with the cornbread....horrible! Waiting for the order I noticed flies in the building. They door was propped open. Mind you the food they are serving is uncovered; that's not good. I seriously doubt I will give it another try.

I stop at Lape every time I'm in Warren for a few days. They never disappoint. Today, I had the oxtails with greens and red beans&rice. The 7up pound cake was awesome. Service is always good, and you never wait too long

Ordered here before and the rib tips were always meaty and saucy. Today the rib tips were saucy but was nothing but shredded pieces of meat and fat. The yams were good but macaroni needed more cheese and flavor and the dressing was dry despite having gravy added. Most definitely wasn’t happy with their food this time.
