Always great homemade food, Gus works his butt off 7 days a week and makes sure everything is fresh!. He does all of the prep and cooking by himself, shops daily for what he needs. No food waste and nothing is spoiled! The staff are great Lisa, Annie, Marci, and Darlene 😁. You cannot go wrong with these ladies!! They will treat you exactly like you treat them 😉. You get to decide how they're going to act🤣🤷. I love it!! It's the same thing with the rest of the customers, you just feel at home as soon as you walk in. If you've ever watched the show Cheer's, then you are walking into the same environment minus the alcohol! Now, I might be biased, well, because I did work there for many years 😁, until my back surgery took me down. But.... I still try to go there as much as I possibly can AND, I MISS BEING AT MORNING STAR EVERY DAY!!! 🫶.

I checked out of our suite at the Motor City Hotel & Casino this morning & mapped my way to Morning Star because I'd heard such good things about it. We both had the big pancake breakfast & it was delicious, filling, & super inexpensive, breakfast & coffee for two for less than $20? I live 90 minutes away but I'll definitely be back!

Waiter was overwhelmed and rude. All she did was complain about how carry outs . I conclude she needed help but why complain to the customers. Set a bad tone for the restaurant and mood. The food was good but could be better without the waiters attitude.

They steal your money, I just had to go up there and retrive the tip the server decided to put on my card without my knowledge or being prompted on the screen to , and when i said something to the owner he lied straight to my face, you didnt steal it but you are giving my money back because you are caught and wrong. Rude, and inconsiderate. I order biscuits and gravy, eggs on the side. She brought my plate out and the scrambled eggs were on my biscuits and gravy. I mentioned this to they waitress and she offered me a extra plate.. sure whatever it happens. But when I order a full order of biscuits and gravy I expect to get 2 biscuits I got 1 and some crumbs, that explains why they put the eggs on top. My friend ordered French toast wd and when she got it, it was still wet so she sent it back, by the time she got it back we were ready to leave. There was hair on our silverware and even in our food, when I mentioned that to the waitress she shrugged it off. Worst place ever!!
