Ryan Grill/ Coney Island

Very disappointed when I went there for breakfast yesterday, ordered a Mexican omelet but I told the waitress no beef, was going to substitute for chicken but this way was an outrageous upcharge. It being "Mexican" i expected sour cream and salsa, when the waitress came she asked me if I wanted chili on it, misunderstanding what she asked me i said yeah ok. When she brought me my omelet I told her before she could set it down, i can't eat that it's got beef on it, so she took it back to the cook and they loudly argued about what was national Chilli. The waitress then brought it back to me like I would accept it, even though I told her no beef. She got angry I refused it, so they re-cooked my order and it was just so plain and bland, so when she came back I asked her for salsa, she got angry once again marching away and I heard her from the opposite side of the dining room having an attitude that she should have to had stayed at home, she didn't even know what what was salsa, when she brought it to the table she slammed it on the table and asked me if that's what I wanted, with attitude, as if I was asking for way too much. I've never experienced such a hostility dining experience in my life. Very Very disappointed and upsetting!

I am giving the food a 4, the service 5, and the atmosphere a 4. I have been eating at Ryans grill for several years and I hadn't been there in some time. I revisited the place maybe about 2 weeks ago. I order what I always order for breakfast "spinach and feta omelette, grilled rye toast, hash and sliced tomatoes with ☕. I see from some of the reviews, it's been a while since you made the reviews that you've made concerning the restaurant. I can say this one thing without a shadow of a doubt, that I believe they have a new cook now. I say this because this time after not being there for some months, my breakfast was delicious 😋 not to say it wasn't good previously but this time it was better than what I used to get it in times past. I would encourage the two reviewers to go back and give them another chance. I believe they have a new cook and this cook is better than the one you may have experienced when you last visited. My breakfast was so good that I came back and bragged to my husband about it which encouraged him to go back and see for himself. I pray everyone reading this, may God keep you and bless you.

Kid-friendliness: The ladies there are approachable friendly kind and they give excellent service with a smile. If they didn't I wouldn't even go. I've been going for years. I am well known there by the ladies.

Honestly disappointed. My wife and I have been coming here for years. But i bought a salad for lunch, and ended up finding a smushed dead gnat at the bottom of the container. I’m completely disgusted and I’ll let everyone in my family to stay away from this reckless, unsanitary restaurant. Please, people. CHECK WHAT YOU ARE EATING.

I've had breakfast and lunch here great food my extended family has become regulars here it was a recommendation from them. Clean, open area, seems like it's family owned and operated which I love.

Vegetarian options: Is technically a Coney Island so there's many options to choose from.

Parking: All around the building there is parking spots available.

Kid-friendliness: We have come here with kids, with no problems.

Wheelchair accessibility: Only one step with a ramp

I love this little gem! Awesome servers, large menu, and the service and food is speedy :) Fish and chips is awesome, polish platter as well, and all the breakfast food slaps! The pancakes taste like cake batter !!!!
