Eh, it was only ok! The price was on the higher side for just average good. Service was ok, food was ok, dining room was clean. Nothing really stood out other than getting a better deal elsewhere for better portions and a more upscale experience. I'll be back but my first choice will be Boffs meat market restaurant right down the street.

The drive thru had me in and out in a timely manner. Love the subs.
Called an hour before they closed and they ignored the call. Went up there and ordered thru drive thru and asked the girl why she doesn't answer and she said "idk what's wrong with the phones. I'm not supposed to answer it" as if answering the phone was an inconvenience. Food was good but didn't appreciate being blatantly ignored.

I should start with the fact that we went to the Gratiot location north of 11 mile road. After pulling up to the speaker at the drive through we had to wait for over 10 minutes for the employee to attempt to take our order. He the informed us that we would have to wait another 15 to 20 minutes due to the fact that their computer system had just crashed as they were taking our order. Well we certainly were not going to wait. We drove all the way over to the next closest location on Hoover Road. I called and placed our order while we were driving from one location to the other. Our order was ready when we got there and was correct. The one thing that we both noticed right away is that the Hoover location is far superior. They use the correct amount of ingredients, which is to say that they use about 70% more meat and other toppings/ingredients. If you want Tubby's DO NOT use the Gratiot location. If you want a "REAL" Tubby's sub then go to the Hoover location. It's also worth mentioning that the Saint Clair Shores location on Harper near 8½ mile skimps on their ingredients as well. I definitely recommend using the Hoover location. They keep the place very clean, the employees are very nice, and the inside is actually open too. Give them a try, you might just be surprised!

Business practice has changed dramatically. Tremendous cost increase. Quality and quantity decreased exponentially. I have asked other people, I know, and they have noticed the same. In regards to your foolish response, I don't feel anything, your business practices have diminished, it used to be excellent, now it's horrible and overpriced. Facts. Tubby's is nolonger a trusted value. It's not.
