Service was fast and very nice.
Tried the sesame chicken with fried rice, egg roll, and a side of crab rangoon.
Best egg roll I've had, crispy yet soft to the bite, fresh on the inside.
Crab Rangoon was too onion forward for my taste, a lot of onion.
Fried rice was solid, could've used some of that onion they used in the rangoons
Sesame chicken was very sweet, almost too sweet, solid pieces of white meat chicken but the breading wasn't as crispy as I like it. Feel like it started that way, but then they dressed it with the sauce and it soaked in.
Overall pretty solid, will be back to try other things

Stopped last night for a sick teen who was wanting Wonton soup. Never been, full house. My 15 minute wait for 2 soups, rice and plain lomein, into 40 minutes. Per menu I was overcharged, she ordered all the largest size in everything when I ordered pints. Food was super greasy, flavorless. Egg drop tasted like cornstarch goop, wonton had not 1 whole won ton but lots of bits and pieces of what was probably wonton, rice and noodles were greasy and tasted of nothing but onion of which there was tons. Won't return, and wasted time and money.
Called here by accident when I had a sudden egg roll craving and man am I glad I did. They had some of the best egg rolls I think I've had in years and the sizes were incredible. Will absolutely be making the trip here again in the future for my egg rolls

The food was good, the issue is that there was barely any meat. The egg rolls are good but they are extremely greasy. I just wish that my pepper steak wasn't all peppers and no steak...

Curry chicken was just a container of onions with a few pieces of chicken
Only silverware available were forks so flimsy we couldn’t eat with them. No knives.
Low quality food.
Staff took my phone to Apple Pay and then asked for my PIN number out loud with people in line behind me. Instead of telling her, I had to lean way over a table to reach the key pad behind the counter and enter it myself.
We won’t be back.

Paid 15 for Mongolian beef for it to not taste like Mongolian beef! What Mongolian beef has green and red peppers! The worst part about all this is there’s literally eight pieces of beef in this!!

The people giving the food itself anything above a 1-star rating are insane, truly. Ordered the General Tso and they couldn't even bother to properly cook or even cut a giant hunk of nasty chicken into bite-sized pieces like everyone in the world does when making General Tso.
I mean, to each their own but coming from a guy married to a chick from Hangzhou, I promise you you would be better off learning how to make Chinese yourself than to continue to throw money away at a place that clearly has given up on seriously trying long ago. A real shame too, this place made me fall in love with Chinese food as a kid. Not sure if they just got sick of things or have different ownership or lost the one devent cook or what.

Restaurantji Recommends
Rating food is somewhat subjective, but I love & at times Crave Chineese food, especially Egg Foo Yung, a friend treated me that dinner & now I'm hooked on this tiny carry out restaurant. Super delicious, very generous potions & Best Priced menu, not to mention pleasant service too. This little place on M-59 is very busy, a needle in a haystack. My opinion, the go to place for egg foo yung, yummy!!
Was really disappointed in the food this time. Wasn't as good as it usually is.
I don't know why, but the food has been going downhill for a few years now. Everything tastes the same, the food is very bland and the protein portions have gotten skimpy. Used to be the go to Chinese for us. Not any more
To be honest the food was just nasty. Felt like I was eating slop!
Hong Kong Express I really wanted his place to be good. I’ve lived in Saginaw for about 20 years of my life and we make some good Chinese food. I’ve had the best Chinese food. Bar none. Here we go. Another test. Can this place live up to the name? Let’s go. Small place. Express only. Few chairs. The woman at the front desk was very nice. Good service. Server with a smile. I ordered Pepper Steak and Szechuan chicken. The two basic dishes. Pepper steak tasted correct. Spot on. Szechuan was clearly off. Did not taste correct. The sauce was more like sweet and sour. Clearly the wrong sauce. I really had high hopes. Another disappointed. You might enjoy, but to me, I’m still looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant. Not here. I see a lot of customers. It’s sad they don’t know what good Chinese food is. Hit up “China 1” in hazel park, MI for excellent Real Chinese food. Also try "Dragon Palace" in Vassar, MI for great Real Chinese food. Enjoy. To each his own. Highly Recommended
