I waited to write this review because I wanted to try multiple items before hand. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming.
The bakery is tiny and pretty outdated but it serves the purpose it needs. It’s not open Monday and Tuesdays.
For bread I’ve bought both the bread ends and a loaf of wheat bread. Both are good. I enjoyed the freshness of both and they last about a 2 weeks before going bad, assuming you put it out on your counter top.
The donuts are great! Much better than you would get a Tim Hortons or Dunkin. So if you’re looking for a great donut I would stop here.

Acceptable for the area, pricing is decent, but fritters used to have more apple, cook, texture, size, and attention to detail used to all much better. You might need to ask if they have more in the back of your favorite style as sometimes they do not replace the trays if they are busy.
I know locals love this place and that's fine. I'll get it in a pinch or if I don't want to drive 15-20 minutes in other directions to my other favorites.

I made it in there just as they were closing and they still assisted me on my purchase. The two women that helped me were so nice and polite. I have ordered cakes there before and they were absolutely PERFECT! I wish they were open a little later, at least until 5PM since I have difficulty arriving there by 4PM. I always recommend this place and always will.

Incredible mom and pop shop. I work for a Ford dealer on a mobile service repair team and we came to their home to perform recalls, the husband sent us over to the bakery they own and the wife and other woman working were Incredibly nice. She even hooked us up with some donuts after I bought a muffin. Awesome spot that she told me has been around for over 50 years! The traffic in and out of there was wild as well seeing probably about 20 cars come in and out to get stuff even at 11am during a weekday! You can tell the locals love it!

?Pete’s Oven has the BEST donuts I have ever had! My grandparents live right around the corner from there, and as a young kid, they would take me there every time I went and stayed with them. I hadn’t been there in quite a while and had been craving them, and just the other day I was visiting my grandparents and decided to stop by there. I went at around 11:00 am on a Wednesday, so most kinds of donuts were already completely sold out and it was very slim pickens. I got one of their regular cinnamon rolls, a cinnamon roll with peanut butter on top, and a glazed donut with chocolate frosting on top, which I had never seen or heard of before. I always thought you either got just a plain glazed donut or a donut with just the chocolate frosting on top (my two favorite donuts), but not the two combined. It was SOOOOOO good. After eating the glazed with chocolate frosting, I wanted to immediately go back and buy more of them, but unfortunately, it was the last one.? Both the regular cinnamon roll and the cinnamon roll with peanut butter on top also were very delicious ?. I’m not sure what time they make all of their donuts for the day, but I know they had been sitting on the rack for at least 5-6 hours and still tastes fresh. Their quality is consistent and superior and the dough is always made and fried to perfection. I have yet to find a donut shop that can match or even come close to Pete’s Oven and I highly highly recommend you give them a try next time you want a donut, you will not be disappointed. I wish I took some pictures of the donuts so I could post them and show how good they look. Next time I go back, I will be sure to get some pictures, as long as I can get them taken before I eat it all.
P.S. Try to get there close to the time they open or at least somewhat early if you want a bigger selection of donuts to choose from, because they sure do go fast!!!
Parking: The parking lot is very small and may be hard to find a good parking spot depending on how busy they are at the time. FYI: a good portion of the parking lot floods whenever there is a decent rain. It wouldn’t be a problem if the city would come and fix the issue, but I guess since it’s such a small shop kind of tucked away, they must not care.
Kid-friendliness: Great place to take young kids to have the best donuts of their lives and to show them what a truly good donut is.
