Red Lobster

I recently visited this location for the first time. Upon paying for my bill, the waitress made a mistake and made the tap device fall, it unplugged after I tapped my card. She stated it would take a long time to reload so asked me to go to another register. I tapped again and this time signed my receipt and added a tip. My statement later showed two charges that made sense because I did tap my card the first time but the device fell after. When my husband I called to rectify the manager was not helpful at all and it resulting in us requesting to the contact information for a regional manager. Such poor taste. For the meal to not be as satisfying and for it to be my first time, this time of incident means I’ll never return or recommend.

Update* I messaged Red Lobster on Facebook as requested. The guest relation department reached out. I provided the last 4 of my card number and even still they completely denied finding any transactions which is insane!!! I provided screenshots from my account summary and everything. All of the time and energy I have invested and justice for this matter, just to be met with denial of my experience/transaction altogether.

The wild caught crunch fried flounder was delicious. Also was given more flounder than I was expecting. It was fresh and delicious. The service was quick and the staff are friendly.

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Red Lobster. Last night, my siblings and I decided to reunite at what was once our favorite childhood restaurant, but from the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. We waited ten minutes just to be acknowledged.

Once we were finally seated, things only got worse. Our silverware was filthy, and my sisters virgin piña colada tasted like spoiled milk. When our food arrived, it was clear we had wasted our time and money. My brother’s fish looked old and soiled, and the shrimp were completely dried out. I specifically requested a grilled lobster tail—something they’ve always done for me—but instead, I was served a boiled, chewy, and undercooked lobster. To top it off, my crab legs still had a dirty rubber band attached.

Our waitress did his best, but the overall experience was absolutely awful. For such a well-known establishment, I expected much better. We spent nearly $140 on what was essentially garbage. I will never dine here again, and I’ll be warning everyone I know to stay far away.

Just a wonderfully clean and welcoming facility. Service was excellent with a high degree of congeniality and friendliness. Food was very appealing visually, served very hot, and taste was exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment.

Wendy is a great waitress. We normally have her as our server, and she’s always great!!

Wendy was the beat Server ever. Although she was the only server at the time, She was attentive, kind and professional! Wendy is the reason why we will come back to the Red Lobster in Waterford, MI. Thanks for all that you do Wendy in the profession you have chosen to spend your life. ❤️

Just came in to grab a beer after work on Friday and Megan was the bartender. She was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive and polite! Will be coming back to see her!

If only someone was willing to wait on us… came here after baseball practice around 8:30 PM on a Saturday. As anyone can see, it was a rockin night with all the patrons in the place. Ring the doorbell to get someone to come seat you - very high class touch. If only it was a Ring camera so they could see you coming.

So now we move to getting a booth, which was difficult to find with so many people there. Our hostess was nice and told us we would be waited on soon.

Sitting in the bar area where the bar tender was hard at work… cleaning but not interested in serving anyone. In fact it was so clean that there were cleaning bottles all over the place, including right above our booth so for certain I can’t complain about it being clean.

Unfortunately after 25 minutes of sitting there enjoying the atmosphere of watching the bar tender continue to clean, it dawned on me that no one had even come by our booth the entire time. Ironically it was at this point that someone came by asking the bartender who she was waiting on and she proceeded to say “I’m working the bar. I like it back here as it is so quiet.” She then disappeared to the back in her own little world.

Well, I’m now at Fork N Pint enjoying live music, a cold beer and already have my order taken within 10 mins of being here. That is way too fast! What? Maybe they need lessons from Red Lobster on how to drive customers away.

I can’t recommend this place overall unless you really want to hang out watching the UM/MSU basketball game while hoping to get serviced. Just a theory but this restaurant like most Red Lobsters have and they can only blame themselves. RIP Red Lobster. You were a class act about 20 years ago.

My husband and I went to this Red lobster location last night for our Valentine's Day dinner, it was a great experience, we didn't wait long to get seated the restaurant was clean, the food was amazing and came surprisingly fast considering how slammed they were but above all the be service was amazing our waitress name was Megan and she was kind attentive and everything on our order was correct thank you again for the wonderful time and we will go back.
