BEYOND happy to have found this gem. Was wine tasting nearby and decided last minute to do another tasting. I looked up wineries around the area and this winery popped up. Came in closer to the end of the day and even then, the three people who attended us (wish I would have remembered all their names. One was Tom!) were beyond exceptional. We did the tasting and walked out with two bottles. I regret not getting more. The views were STUNNING, even though we went just this past weekend. So halfway through October. I cannot imagine what the views look like in the summer. The wine was delicious. There were tons of options to choose from. There were snacks, too. The service was what stood out to me the most. We felt welcomed, appreciated, and seen. We cannot say the same about some of the wineries nearby. I already plan to go back. Hopefully before December, but if not, next spring and summer I will undoubtedly be back. And I will bring all my family with next time. I've already told them all about it. Please keep up the great work and service. You will outshine all the wineries in Michigan. I am not from Michigan, but I will travel to come back anytime!!! Thank you for the best wine tasting experience I've ever had in Michigan. You guys were phenomenal!
Such a cool place! We went today, had a wine tasting and it’s a must stop, trendy place, clean, and real good wine, and worth a high recommendation!
We found this place by chance and we really liked it. We will come back more than once.
Great wines
Such a beautiful setting for a winery. Great service thanks Amy and loved the Gruner Veltliner!
Nice stop, nice hidden away property, wine-maids. We’re very attentive, all the wines we’re good there wasn’t one that I wouldn’t drink. If Toms around (owner) ask about the wild local animals he finds on the property hiding in the vineyard , you’ll get a few good stories.
Our group had a great experience! The proprietor graciously set up some extra tables inside. Upon arrival they passed out their selection cards and explained a bit about their wines and a bit about the winery. We were able to hang out and enjoy our afternoon. Great little place.
Very good winery
Good sweeter wines. Nice big outdoor area. Hills of vines. Very pretty location.
Very beautiful and so relaxing. The wine is so tasty as well.

Moonrise is located in a lovely little bit of countryside with hills around it covered with grapevines. It’s very pretty. The staff was friendly, and I found the dry red wines I tried to be especially pleasant. They have a lot of variety in their tasting menu, so there should be something for everyone. It makes a good stop in Southwest Michigan’s wine country.
Amazing hospitality and service. Really good mango sangria, too
Easily one of the most picturesque wineries in the area. Do yourself a favor and climb the hill out behind the winery for a closer look at the vineyards themselves and a fantastic panorama of the surrounding countryside. You can't go wrong with any of the wines here; there's literally something for everyone. Tom is an amazing winemaker and viticulturalist. The tasting room staff has always been the friendliest and most accommodating. We make it a point to stop in whenever we're in the area because it's always such a wonderful experience, from the scenery to the warm welcome to the delightful wines.
1st time visiting Moonrise. Pleasantly surprised. I guess they had a hard time with getting signage through the township. What a shame. Almost drove by it but worth the visit. Great atmosphere inside, warm and friendly. You could also buy some cheese, sausage and seasoned olives etc along with the wine. Jollay Orchards and Contessa Winery also in vicinity.
Great service.
