It was my 1st time trying this place. Enjoyed the perch dinners I purchased. Wanted more fish than fries tho (they seemed to overwhelm the main thang lol.) The service was top notch. He was very friendly and accommodating. The dinners were reasonably priced for today's market.

I'm from Austin, Texas, and for the three weeks l've been here in Detroit, Wally's Fish & Chicken has been the best food spot l've tried--no question about it! The food is always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The chicken tenders are perfectly crispy and coated in that sweet and spicy sauce that keeps you coming back for more. The fries are seasoned just right, and everything from the mac salad to the desserts hits the spot. What really makes Wally's stand out is the customer service-it's unbeatable. Everyone there is friendly, fast, and makes you feel genuinely appreciated. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Customer service was Amazing and the chicken was on point but that fish was old and hard. They cut one piece of fish in half to make two. And the fries were undercooked.
I’m only in town for a short visit, but I ended up eating lunch at Wally’s Fish and Chicken both days I was here and I’m so glad I did! I made it a point to try every kind of fish they offer, and honestly, each one was better than the last. Everything was cooked to perfection, crispy, flavorful, and super fresh.
What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Both times I came in, the folks at the counter were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. They took the time to explain the different fish options and made great recommendations. Wally hooked me up with 1 piece of every fish since he knew I was leaving soon. You can tell they care about what they do and want their customers to have a great experience.
Wally’s isn’t just a meal, it’s the highlight of my trip. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it!

They hook ya chicken up good food n not stingy on the lemon pepper. The walkys homemade sauce is everything. They just got some new rice in so good it almost reminds me of Cajun rice.
