Great breakfast place! Some of the Best Biscuits and Gravy I’ve ever had! Definitely home cooked food. And the portions were huge! And homemade bread and jellies. Yummy!

Old fashioned restraunt, with Absolutely Best Homeade food! Chilli was delish & had a little kick. My friend got stuffed biscuits and gravy & said delish! Another order was what looked like a giant feast! Said delish & last order was fish sand. Etc, said was good!
CASH ONLY.

Prices on website under represented. We paid $6.99 for two eggs and toast when the website said $2.99. Also, cash only. Bummer.

I really wanted to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, the poor service over shadowed any positives. 2 hrs for breakfast is unacceptable. How does a place stay in business with a 2 hr table turnover rate?
Our group of 4 arrived at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025. We waited 15 minutes for a table, totally acceptable for a good restaurant on a busy Sat. Unacceptable was the 20 minute wait for the waitress to take our order and the 50 minute wait to receive our food. The waitress introduced herself by telling us that she would forget our order. We should have taken that as a warning. The place was not busy enough to justify any wait. About 12 tables total. Food service was so slow one table received food, ate and left by the time the next table got food. Literally, 1 table served every 20 minutes. The waitress did not refill drinks or apologize for the wait even once. Three people working front area with 12 tables is plenty for table visits at least every 5 to 10 min.
The food quality was mixed. Blueberry pie was great, stuffed with blueberries and soft crust. Stuffed hashbrowns loaded with ham inside and on top. Denver omelet was good. Homemade freezer jams delicious.
Not so good were sausage gravy, too salty and not much sausage flavor, and scrambled eggs were not scrambled, just fried egg chopped up.
Some of the food was cold by time it got to table.

Best turkey sandwich I've ever had. fresh turkey breast not the deli meat crap. outstanding sandwich, fries look home made also. love seeing the skins on them yet.
Biscuits and gravy were amazing.
Potatoes were pretty good.
The waitress had a little kind of attitude but it kind of seems like that's normal there almost like a way of joking around.
Great service great food would definitely recommend we'll be back.

Who doesn’t love canned sausage gravy and a medium sized peice of hair in their hashbrowns? Waitress was super rude and scream talking at 7am. Wont be returning here EVER. Has gone downhill so bad
I waited over 1:30 minutes for my food

On our way from Ludington to Mackinaw through the beautiful interior of Michigan, our path took us through Wellston, Michigan. We were hungry, and looking ahead we saw a cafe on the north side of the road with a parking lot full of vehicles. It looked quaint and inviting, so we wheeled our truck into the lot of ANNIE'S KOZY KITCHEN.
Beth, our to be server greeted us at the door, and directed us to sit wherever we liked. As you can see from our pictures, this place is full of artwork, fish mounts and Michigan culture, with a cross section of locals and excited tourists like us. We had menus and our coffee and drinks immediately. Beth was very busy, but didn't have to hurry because of her efficiency, and her help from her partner in culinary delight, Betsy, who was cooking, and serving, and modeling the latest sexy aprons that they actually had for sale. Before we left, there was no way I wasn't buying a shirt!
The food was superb. The portions were very generous. Luke had biscuits and gravy, and Cesco had their hash brown casserole which was a very nice dish. My over easy eggs and crunchy hash browns were prepared perfectly. My hash browns came on a small platter, stacked deep, crunchy and brown and steaming when Beth set them in front of me. The sausage gravy was packed with sausage crumbles with a minimally sweet, savory and zesty flavor. Know we are super picky about sausage gravy 'cause my own version is really good. This was the best I have had outside our own kitchen in a great while.
I am so grateful when spontaneous decisions lead to wonderful experiences like we had at Annie's Kozy Kitchen with these beautiful folks and fantastic food. I wouldn't drive by if I were you.

Went to try a new place for weekend breakfast, long wait to get in and then 45 min wait post order and no food yet. Large crowds on weekend and staff overwhelmed. Ended up leaving and getting food elsewhere. Apparently, judging by the crowd, they have good food, but weekends may not be the time to go.
