It felt like we caught them off guard even though we had a reservation at 7pm on a Friday. There was one waiter who was very nice and tried very hard. The owner or manager, who was wearing sweat pants and a T-shirt, got up and helped. I think he might have cooked the food too. We were there a couple yrs ago and it was much different. We'll give them another try.
A friend of mine has been talking about this place for years. She always talked about how it was a small family business and the food is amazing. So finally while she was in town we called up to see if they were open and if we could get a reservation. We got in on a Friday and with that you can use a Groupon. Found out about this restaurant through Groupon, had dinner there today. Ate the best borsht I've ever had, devoured the lamb chops and pounded them potatoes (although I'd go with the chicken next time - portion size was a little larger), and the dessert...
