Didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Very traditional Japanese Izakaya small plates. Very thing we ordered was delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try all the dishes. Get there early because the place gets packed really fast.

Kitchen Hanzo offers some of the most authentic Japanese cuisine in the area. The restaurant has recently reopened and, while there are minor issues with the food, it remains a hidden gem worth exploring. The new, thicker version of the pancake is doughier than the okonomiyaki it replaced, while the sliced beef was superb. The smelt, however, did not taste fresh. The service is warm, attentive, and excellent, creating a friendly and polite atmosphere. The wine and sake pricing is quite high compared to the food menu, but Kitchen Hanzo still provides delicious izakaya food with a variety of menu options that are simple yet complex and rich. The ambiance is perfect for any food adventure, and despite being open only three days a week, it is highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.
