So I stopped at the New York bagel today having been in the area for Dr visit. Headed to another Dr appointment. Entered the store asked for a toasted bagel. Clerk said I can't toast it for you unless you purchase something on it. Being a diabetic and needing some thing to put in my body before my next procedure which requires anesthetic. So I asked to speak to the manager and he confirmed the fact that he would not take a simple plain bagel and toasted for me I have a problem with clerks who have an clue as to how to deal with a customer who needs a special request. Having been a restaurant owner for many many years certain customers have certain needs and if you choose to develop your business you need to make exceptions for ridiculous rules. Needless to say there is no way I will ever stop here again. If I could've given them a no star rating I would have so I wound up not being able to have anything as it was forbidden to have anything within a four hour timeframe of the procedure thanks New York bagel company for being useles

The worst Tuna Salad ever. I wasted my money because I threw away 1/2 pound. They put a spice in the Tuna that did not belong. It was very spicy and nothing that I've ever tasted before in Tuna Salad. Plus the tuna was dry as were all the bagels.I was so disappointed. I don't get to West Bloomfield much. This is not the New York Bagel I remember from years ago.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONING!!! They literally leave everything out for days including egg salad, tuna salad. I went with my friend & got an Egg Salad sandwich & got food poisoning. My friend had a Tuna Salad sandwich & he got scrombroid poisoning from improperly stored fish. Terrible.

The young gentleman who assisted me was absolutely delightful in spirit and service. Although they were closing in 5 minutes, he was helpful, kind, and gracious. So grateful I got him instead of the young lady who was fairly rude to tell her last minute customer. BTW... A third customer who came in with us left without ordering and said to me she didn't want to be an inconvenience to them. I'm certain this is not the message the company wants to give. I traveled from their location in Ferndale to get a specific item. Grateful they had it and I'm grateful I received service from someone who was authentic and service-minded.

Very Islamaphobic, racist establishment. Three times now the lady at the counter gave terrible attitude to my partner. And treated the white customer behind us very kindly and openly. My partner was mistaken for perhaps another ethnic group but regardless very animalistic and obviously aggressive behavior toward the only brown person at the establishment.

Always great bagels and good service. There's a reason the line goes out the door with people waiting to get their bagels.

I always go into this shop when I'm in the area. The workers used to be customer service oriented. When I went in there today, the person was rude with a blank look on her face. She was ready to go home at 1:20 pm I guess and the customers were getting in her way. The bagel I requested was as hard as a rock and the $55 I spent in there won't happen again. I'll go to Ferndale and spend my money where they appreciate me and understand what a happy customer means to the business. That young lady shouldn't be around customers!

This is probably the best bagel place in Michigan. When I was growing up, it was New York and Detroit in a tie, but Detroit is long gone. If you're lucky enough to get them when they first come out of the oven, you'll be heaven. The poppy seeds on the salt bagels is what gives them that unique and amazing flavor. That with some of the best cream cheese on the planet and lox which is literally perfection, and it's a lox and bagel dream. I could live off of them, three meals a day.
