I've driven past the place for years, and the day after Valentine's Day, I finally went in. Every aspect of it was absolutely fantastic. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the place was great. I'm already plotting my comeback, and I'm looking to bring people with me. Quite frankly, I'm almost reluctant to tell others about it, because I want the place all to myself. If you go, I recommend that pork chop!

I've been living in the area for many years and never noticed this hidden gem that I've drove past many times. I was driving on Walnut Lake because a car accident blocked my travels from being able to travel on Maple. I was and stopped by a red light on Walnut Lake Rd when I noticed Nonna Maria's. Made that drive many times and never noticed it before. I decided to treat myself to dinner one night. Called in my reservation and from the moment I walked into the restaurant, the customer service was top notch. They addressed me by name the entire time. The food was definitely cooked with love and was delightful with every chew. I cannot wait to visit this spot again. Will definitely be back as it's not easy to find a good Italian restaurant with service like this.

Parking: It's a small restaurant with parking enough for the restaurant.

Wow! It’s been thirty years since we were last at what is now called “Nonna Maria’s”. After changing hands a few times, it’s back in the talented hands of Chef John Gallagher! The dishes are amazing and represent Italian cuisine from the north to the south. My wife and I have dreamed about the “Nonna’s Spiedini” since we had it last in 1994! It’s the perfect combination of bread & cheese, with a sauce of butter, olives, lemon juice and artichoke hearts… favorite appetizer of all time! The wait staff is always on point… friendly and efficient. Everyone from the front of the house to the back of the house, work together to create a special dining experience. Thank you!

Have been dining here infrequently for years, but started a ritual with some good friends to eat here every year. It's always been great food and service. Really appreciate that the waiter didn't rush us even though we took longer to eat than he probably would have liked.

I've eaten here three times. I really want to like this place more than I do. The service and atmosphere are very good. The food is not great. It just doesn't taste like there is much talent in the kitchen. Plus the portions of food served are quite small - think tiny British portions. You are paying for service and ambiance. They cater to a regular crowd in their 60's and 70's.

We all had a piccata of some variety. I had veal and lobster. I found the food to be good but not great. The lemon in the sauce was overpowering. My opinion is… for the money there are better authentic Italian restaurants.

Wow….this is the best authentic Italian restaurant in the area. Highly recommended. The staff acts as one and is truly a team and family. Our waiter was Cody, and his attention to detail was impeccable. Call ahead for reservations as this is truly a highly sought after restaurant. All homemade food, not the microwave stuff others serve.

Don't sleep on this gem of a restaurant. You feel like family the moment you step through the door, and watching others come in, I'm pretty sure it was 95 % repeat customers that the owner and servers know by name, which is telling in and of itself. The menu hits all the right dishes and everyone in our party loved their meals. I had the Walleye and it was excellent. Ambiance is charming - a small, intimate dining area. Service was 6 out of 5 stars. Will be back!
