I have been going to this Cider Mill since the 80’s and I believe it’s the best place in the world for cider. I call it medicine. As a family tradition, we gather on the first day of opening and celebrate with cider and donuts. We enjoy this place until the last day as well.
Delicious Donuts, Cider, Friendly Staff, I been going here for years. I notice they have music in the parking lot.

Franklin Cider Mill is a nostalgic spot, perfect for cider and donut lovers. It retains its beloved charm with a lovely atmosphere by the water, where visitors can see ducks swimming in the creek. The smell of fresh donuts greets guests upon arrival, enhancing the overall experience. The old water wheel adds to the uniqueness, and the Presser inside allows guests to watch as juice is extracted from chopped apples. Visitors can enjoy hot fresh donuts, unpasteurized apple cider, and browse through various vendors, including a small store that offers baked goods like Amish apple bread.
On busy weekends, parking is manageable, although it can get very busy. The friendly service, with staff like Denise and Maximillian, makes each visit pleasant. Guests have enjoyed trying the grilled cider dog and delicious Better Made chips, making it a nice option before indulging in sweets. Watching cider being made indoors while enjoying cider and donuts creates a peaceful atmosphere. It’s an excellent place for families to get fresh apples, cider, and cider donuts, especially for a budget-friendly outing. The area also offers nearby attractions like Kirk in the Hills and Johnson Outdoor Park for a full day of fun. Visitors appreciate the lively environment, outdoor activities, and the overall experience, which includes enjoying the cute creek and bridge as well as reading about the mill's history.
