I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's and am avoiding gluten where possible. We were in Canton for my daughter's softball tournament and looking for a restaurant with gluten free options for dinner. Mr. Mike's popped up in a Google search and we were not disappointed! The owner, Angie, spent a bit of time explaining to me how and why they developed such a large GF menu - and it was all about her mom who has celiac's, and we got to meet her tonight too....
We have to eat gluten free and they were awesome when we told them. The manager/owner came out and talked to us and explained how they had separate everything for gluten free cooking. They had the most extensive gluten free menu I think I have ever seen in a restaurant that also serves regular food!
Gluten free DREAM! When I saw how huge their GF menu was I just had to get over there. If you have been GF a long time you know the Menu anxiety, the hoping they truly are aware of gluten. This place knows their allergy. Just looking through the menu will make you want to cry happy tears, I ordered the Opa cheese with GF pita, the fried cheese sticks, and Pierogies. Now it’s one thing for places to have GF stuff it’s another to deliver on the quality. I’ve had my fair share...
