“A very friendly bar that we have loved to go to for probably the last 10 12 years. The owner is a great gal and the clientele are always friendly. Schafers always feels like at at home bar. We have no problem driving from Portland Westphalia to have a cold beer or a drink it's certainly worth it. I have met so many wonderful people here over the years. We do not mind that they don't have food because we always run down to Diana's and get subs and Schafer's doesn't care if you eat them there.”

“I went twice last week. First time I had the Popeye flatbread, which was amazing! Unfortunately I also ordered the potato soup, which was so salty, neither me nor my mother could get even halfway through it, even after trying to water it down with water from my glass. The second time I went back, I had the pickle fries and the bbq pork flatbread, both of which were delicious. So I highly recommend three of the four dishes I've tried!”

“We stopped in while passing through town and we are so glad we did. The beer selection had something for everyone! We shared a flight and each beer was better than the last. The staff was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the brewery itself was so laid back and had such a cool vibe. We ended up ordering a snack which was also amazing. Can’t recommend this brewery enough. We will make a point to visit next time we are nearby.”

“We had lunch at Olivera's today: it was great! Our server was very timely and pleasant, and the food was delicious. I had the bacon burger, rare (it was just right!), without the bun and with a house salad. I considered a double burger but was glad I did not...it would have been too much! The burger was seasoned as good as any I have ever had. My wife enjoyed her boneless wings, and the artichoke appetizer dip was excellent: hot, cheesy and creamy with nice pieces of artichoke. “Went there once again for a burger, and I will say that their burgers are very good, they are half pound burgers, which is a little larger than what I need, but that's what they are, but the thing that makes the food, the burgers over the top are the buns. I don't know if these things are homemade, or what they are, but they are fluffy and they are absolutely excellent. The service, this was a one-man show on the floor. This bartender, waiter, convenience store clerk owned the floor, service was impeccable, and he was a very friendly and pleasant individual. The gentleman was waiting on everybody in the bar, and anyone who came into the convenience store side. The atmosphere, I love it, I'm a simple guy. The convenience store side is a little chaotic, it's not dirty, it's just a little chaotic. The bar side is classic. It's a great experience if this is what you're looking for. To top it off, when I walked out into the parking lot to leave there was a convertible Porsche going by with two guys in it, and they slammed on the brakes and pulled in, hopped out of their car and walked in. They said that was the first time there and we all had a laugh about their approach, and I'm assuming they've heard how good the food is in this place.”

“The staff were so friendly! We arrived later in the day, so there were minimal baked goods. We ordered a blueberry muffin and a cranberry muffin, both were good.

The coffee was not great, but it was good. It was lacking flavor. Their frozen coffee was good, but really sweet.”

“Aubrey was our server and did a fine job at lunch today. The cook even came out to say hi because I ordered my double burger rare. It was just right, despite his concern that he does not cook rare ones very often. Fries were hot and tasty. Overall it was a very good lunch and I would not hesitate to go again. Thanks!”

“We aren’t from Portland but make the drive because we love the atmosphere. Crystal is amazing with kids and whenever we ask our two kids where they want to eat they go just to see her. The outdoor area overlooking the river is really nice too!”

“I am a 70 year old tea drinker who stopped in for a little caffeine kick. Thought I would try one of the coffee options. I just wanted to go basic, maybe with a cocoa side note without a bunch of sugar or cream. Maddie, and Colleen were both enthusiastic about my rookie coffee status and went into coaching mode. They were both great about suggesting options and guided me to the perfect solution for my caffeine kick and I had fun in the process. Thanks so much for having an enthusiastic team who are well versed in all the available options, and patient with customers who aren’t. They may have converted me from the error of my tea drinking ways. Ha Ha”

“Very clean establishment connected to the Loves truck stop which is fairly newly built. Its in a great spot right of I69 and its just a hop n a skip away from the interstate. Overall its nothing tonwrite home about lol but 4/5 for sure.

Parking: At least 40-60 spots to park around the restaurant. More roomy than some restaurants because this is also a truck stop.”

“This is the best subway around! They have the best service and are very quick. Samatha is the owner and is the best at making her customers happy! Kinda pricey sometimes but definitely worth it. And if you get the chocolate chip cookies heat them up for 10 seconds, delicious! ?”
