Jaywalker Restaurant Reviews
Honestly don’t go here. The waitresses are all rude, they actually make it quite obvious how bad they actually try to be nice but clearly not kind at all. We felt like a burden on her & only seen her a couple times. Waited an hour just to order & the restaurant wasn’t even packed. Right at the bottom of the menu it states, if we don’t have what u want just ask. lol don’t do that, it’ll make your waitress not come back for 30 minutes & then tell u to get just the frog...read full review
View was great. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow, we only saw our server only a few times throughout the entire meal. Took about 15-20 minutes before we were greeted by our server. Our two dishes came out after about 30 minutes and my steak was charred on one side and over done. Server was nice but it seemed like they were all spread too thin between the dining room and deck instead of having 1-2 designated patio servers.
Had the prime rib and it was fantastic! The view was great and the service was amazing. All around great restaurant.

Jaywalker Restaurant is a great local eatery that serves awesome food with excellent service. This restaurant accommodates special dietary needs and groups, while also offering a great view of the St. Joseph River. The menu features a variety of options, including fish, burgers, frog legs, and the famous carrot cake, which has received high praise from customers. The restaurant has been a part of the community since the 1800s and is currently run by three owners who do everything right.
On special occasions, themed meals are offered, such as the 16-ounce prime rib on Mother's Day, which comes with a loaded baked potato and French onion soup. Customers have enjoyed the hand battered fried mushrooms, light and crispy, and the whitefish dinner with lemon pepper, which was cooked perfectly. There is ample parking across the street, and the staff provides friendly and attentive service. Even when busy, there is plenty of room for guests.
Overall, Jaywalker Restaurant promises a great dining experience, whether enjoying a late lunch with Cajun pecans on a fried chicken salad or sipping a blackberry old fashioned at the bar while watching a horse race. Visitors can also take a stroll to the historic Camelback bridge nearby, making it a perfect spot for a day trip.
