Took 20 minutes before our waitress brought us water another 30 minutes before she took our order. We waited over an hour before we received our food. It wasn't busy. There was a family that came in about 20 minutes after we did. They had received their food and was leaving before we received our food. Food was good.

The cuisine served here is truly delectable. The waiting time for the food is quite reasonable, and the staff members are courteous and friendly. The establishment is well-maintained and hygienic.

The atmosphere here is upscale, but without pretensions. It's got a positive vibe to it and makes you feel welcome.

I ordered the Smoked Gouda Chicken Pasta ($26). This is pan seared chicken, bacon, asparagus, portobello mushrooms, and a smoked Gouda cream. I didn't like the mushrooms, however once I moved the mushroom strips aside the meal was splendid. I highly enjoyed it. I didn't at first think the portion size was very big, but I was satisfied afterwards. The person I was with got the same thing and highly enjoyed the meal including the mushrooms.

The service was very friendly and helpful. Didn't understand the wine menu, but went to ask in a cheerful manner.

Overall a 4 and a half star review. I have no real complaints or issues so I'll round up to a full 5 stars. Would I return? If I was in the area, I would absolutely come back.

Asked for a burger medium well. It was burnt. Waitress shrugged her shoulders. Charged full price for the burger and I couldn't even eat it all because of the burnt taste of it. They didn't care because we were just passing through.

Sat at the bar. Order a Manhattan, which was very, very tasty. It was followed by veal meatloaf, which was pretty good but maybe a little dry for me. Yes, I would go back and recommend you try it as well. Staff was great!!!

Veal Meatlaof was superb.
Bartender went over and beyond for every customer.
Highly recommend.

We always sit in the bar area. Great atmosphere and staff is always attentive. We’ve had the McGee’s club several times and can say it’s the best in traverse city.

Excellent service, some of the best I've had in my life. Food was amazing. Everything was 100% perfect, from flavor to presentation. Atmosphere is classy but not over the top. Will definitely be back.

We go everytime we stop in Traverse City. The food is great. Ample parking. The bar is nice. It can get a little loud in the dining room.

McGee's No. 72 is conveniently situated near Spruce Run Golf Course and Grand Traverse Resort & Spa on M-72 East in Williamsburg, Michigan. My wife and I were seeking a sports bar to enjoy lunch and watch some football, so we decided to visit McGee's.

Upon entering, we gravitated to the bar area which offered a variety of seating options, including high-top tables, low-top tables, and bar seating. The atmosphere was that of a contemporary tavern sports bar, with multiple televisions strategically placed throughout the space.

While the service we received was somewhat inconsistent, the food we ordered had mixed reviews. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken breast salad, while I found my blue cheese burger to be dry and lacking in flavor. However, we both agreed that the risotto tots were quite delicious.

Overall, our experience at McGee's No. 72 was slightly underwhelming, and we may consider exploring other sports bars in the future.
