The food here is truly absolutely delicious! We indulged in a series of fantastic courses, starting with the tender octopus appetizer and the flavorful eggplant. The veal piccata was prepared to absolute perfection, and we accompanied our meal with a Caesar salad that was generous enough for two. To finish, the tiramisu was fantastic—a must-try! They boast a super extensive wine menu; naturally, we paired our dinner with a wonderful Chianti. Highly recommend for a truly exceptional dining experience!

Our service was poor. We had reservation and were seated right away. Shortly after that another 4 top was seated next to us. A server finally showed up but went to the table next to us. She did not even acknowledge us. She finally showed up and took a drink order, which took a long time to get our drinks. Three tables got their food before us and all of them were seated after us. The table seated after/next to us was done with their dinner and we still didn't have our food. Our reservation was at 7, our food came out at 8:29. The food was excellent, but the service was poor. After complaining to her, she never apologized. She said she was the only server in the dining room due to a private party, but we saw other servers. Our friend ordered another beer and it took forever to come, I did complain to another server, because I could not find ours. The excuse was the keg had to be changed. Communication would have helped. Once I complained it got better, but by then we were very disappointed and hungry.

I’ve visited Violares several times over the years and initially found the food to be average but consistent. Unfortunately, my most recent experiences have been deeply disappointing.
Beyond the noticeable decline in food quality dishes that once had some flavor and freshness now feel uninspired and poorly prepared the overall atmosphere has changed for the worse. What truly solidified my decision not to return was learning about the unprofessional behavior and lack of integrity displayed by ownership.
It’s disheartening when a restaurant that once showed promise loses both its quality and its sense of respect for customers. There are many other dining options in the area that value both their food and their patrons far more. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Violares to anyone looking for a positive dining experience

We had a group of kids there for homecoming and they had a terrible experience with the wait staff. Took over an hour to take their order, food came out and hour and half after reservation and they had 10 min to eat to get to the dance. Bills were all messed up as well. So disappointed because we typically love this restaurant and they are such a good group of kids to have to deal with that stress. That's why we picked a higher end restaurant to take that stress away from them to enjoy their night.

I made a reservation through OpenTable and drove for 20 minutes, however the hostess turned us away because the table was not actually not available and we’re not blocked on OpenTable by the restaurant.

Whenever I am in the Wixom/Novi neighborhood, this is a must stop for us. The food is consistently delicious the portions, generous, and the staff friendly... Even “perky“ like our server last evening. When in this area you need to give Volare a try.

I emailed the restaurant on 9/29 so I wouldn't have to leave this public review. No response. Our group of 5 was one of no more than 3 other tables (total) on Sunday evening 9/28. Servers, bussers, hosts standing around. We ordered. Drinks took an absurd amount of time to come in an empty restaurant- with a bartender. Our appetizer came - eventually. Our meals-delicious as always - arrived but we never saw a server again (no Parmesan offered) until I finally got up and interrupted the group of 5 employees gathered at the host stand. I said we had a birthday and wanted to order dessert. They seemed shocked. Of course we had to seek out a server to get our bill. We love this restaurant and picked it specially for our celebration. Perhaps they shouldn't be open on Sundays (almost no customers) and certainly the employees scheduled for that evening should find a job that suits them better. We are excellent tippers in this land where we don't support living wages. We were not this night. What a disappointment.

My 17yo son and 5 of his close friends skipped their homecoming dance for a delicious meal at Volare. They were all dressed up and looking forward to a nice dinner. All 6 kids said the waitress was rude and immediately told them they would be on one check. No problem. She then came back with the bill folder and forgot to put the actual bill in there. She said oh it think your total is like $180 expecting my son to just give his card over. He asked for the actual bill and she rolled her eyes and left to grab it. They were already charged a 20% tip and she didn't point that out. Luckily most of the kids work in the food industry and were keen to review the bill. They all LOVED their meals. The food is not the problem. Service to these hard working kids was.
