Went here cus my original place wasn’t open & a lot of people suggest here . First I was told 45 minutes to an hour for my meal which is understandable if they are busy . I got there at the hour mark & my food was not even started . My food was rushed , my chicken was terrible and hardly warm , my rice tasted burnt as I watched the guy blast my entire meal with fire . & I asked for Szechuan shrimp and scallops . ( I heard them talking about the shrimp when packing up my order ) my meals had NO shrimp in it. Then I ended up with food poisoning guessing my chicken nor my scallops were cooked all the way . Really disappointed.

I don’t eat Chinese food often, so I’m still trying to find a regular place. Decided to try China Star based on all the positive reviews. Went in and ordered. From the constant stream of people coming in to get their orders and the phone ringing nonstop the reviews must be right. Got my order and head home. They sure do pack the container with food. Can’t complain about the HUGE portion sizes. Then the let down. The egg foo young is under seasoned, bland. Even a splash of soy sauce didn’t help. Same for the sauce. The fried rice is what you’d expect from takeout. Lastly the egg roll. Again, lacks flavor. There’s a hint of five spice but mostly the earthy flavor of bean sprouts. Guess I continue to look elsewhere.

My family used to order from here all the time! We used to rate them a 5 because of their juicy fried chicken & fried pork but the last several times the fried pork & fried chicken have been soooo very dry! It almost felt like we were eating day old food. Guess it's time to find a new place. Sad customer
