“The food was WONDERFUL, I ordered Gang Curry (if I remember it correctly), and the beef and veggies and perfectly cooked.

One quick side note, their medium spicy is “Thai Medium Spicy ”; it’s really strong, so be careful for that😂”

“My wife and I finally stopped in last Wednesday after wanting to try it for years but never being in the area during their open hours (Tuesday through Saturday 4-9). We were not disappointed. I had the Chicken Gregorio which was fantastic as was the stuffed pepper soup. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana which she loved and the Ham and Potato soup which she said was delicious. The bread and oil was great as well. We enjoyed watching the train circling above. All staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience.”

“Love, love, love! Homemade, specialty, and fresh, the trifecta of comfort foods! Thank you for crepe too! So delicious! Everything is delicious! Make a meal of the chicken, bacon ranch pierogi, or the Mac and cheese for a side. Grab soup and a sweet crepe to finish it off! You can’t go wrong!”

“Grand Dad’s Bar does things right. Fast and friendly service, great food, and great prices. We had smash burgers, fries, and onion rings. Everything arrived fast and hot at our table, and all items were very good. Our experience will have us coming back to try other items on the menu. Thanks, and keep up the good work!”

“First time trying Frank’s. My wife looked up places to try for good walleye and it came up so figured, why not? A little frustrating trying to find it initially, but we’re glad we did! Food was excellent. My wife had the walleye and said that it was one of the best she’s had in a long time. I had the catfish and loved it. Breading wasn’t heavy so you could taste the fish and the hush puppies were devoured quickly they were that good. All in all highly recommend and we’ll be back!”

The staff was super friendly, the food was all reasonably priced, the portions were HUGE, and the quality was top notch! “How does this dreamy place exist?!!! This price is good and the Custard is superb! The servers are great. My favorite part is the friends and family that keep this place busy and then everyone stays and eats at the provided sitting area. You will sit down with strangers and leave with new friends. This is a very old fashioned concept and a terrific example of community. This is a great break from modern society.”

“My family and I visited this cute ice cream shop a couple of weeks ago. The ice cream was delicious! I got scoops of the Russian Latte 🤤 The staff were also very nice and friendly. I’m not sure the man’s name but he came out just to ask if we would like the umbrella on the table down because we had a spot right where the sun was beaming down. Very nice place.”

“Booked an engagement party for 70 guests. Had a full dinner buffet and open bar. Outstanding service and 100 percent pleased with absolutely everything! Arielle who was the event coordinator was extremely thorough and accurate in all her communications. Day of event went perfectly and the service was top notch.”

“I had breakfast at Nanas kitchen this morning. After eating, talking with company I noticed the cook wasn't wearing gloves while handling the food. He handled bacon, wiped his hands on his apron, proceeded to grab his phone and coffee and talking to customers. Not washing hands before returning to handling food. Another cook also started, no gloves, while grabbing bacon, pile of hash browns with 2 hands, in-between grabbing the trashcan from under the counter. The service and food was good but seeing the above grossed me out. Waitress was told but, said she would say something but I continued watching the cook handling food with no gloves until we left.”

“BEST FOOD Ever for Downriver's Best Brewery. Outstanding selection of Brews!! Ate there constantly since they opened in Nov 2019. Food is DEEEEELICIOUS! 3 Awesome Brewers/Owners, 5 Outstanding Waitresses, and 2 Superb Cooks. Their constant smiles are catchy for all to view!! Just a wonderful & comfortable place to visit and relax at. And you can play Domino’s there too! Always Enjoy.”

“I met up with my family at On the Rocks for Tuesday $1.00 burger night and the food was very good. They have awesome fried rice there too. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food. The staff was great. They genuinely cared about the service they were delivering. We will definitely be going back there again!”

“Awesome venue to see live music at!! Seen Nonpoint, Soil, Spineshank and Hed PE last night. Got to meet several of the bands, got drinks for a moderately fair price as far as venues go. Lighting and sound were all on point as well. I'll definitely be back for another show in the future!! 🤘🏻”

“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.”

“The only reason I’m giving a good review is because the bartender. Thank you for Amanda for the great service. I’ve always loved this bar but the clientele is biggest problem. There’s a big guy in orange clothes that smells so bad you want to throw up. I’m not sure why he’s allowed in.”

“I've been going to this place to watch the Wings win since the 1990s, but have since moved to Alaska. But everytime I come home, I'm still drawn to this place like a moth to a flame. It's changed over the years, but they still keep high quality beers in tap and in the bottle.
They removed the TV from the men's room, which needs to be out back so a guy doesn't miss a goal while having a piss. Its only fair, right?”

“Tried place out for the first time with a special occasion with longtime friends I got the barbecue chicken dinner it was great ! Waitress was attentive prices are high Not sure why the guest of honor could not have a side salad? When I’m pretty sure there was a salad bar? For this reason I am giving 4 stars”

“This is our 2nd time here and we love it! We've been on a slow Sunday, and a busy Thursday evening. Two different experiences for sure, but each time the server was super personable and food was amazing.
The pizza is SO good! I'm from the east coast and it reminds me of pizza I had growing up...made by Italians! You can tell whoever created the menu loves food. The combinations of tastes in each dish are so satisfying and different from a lot of other places around. We definitely plan on returning a bunch!”

“Tammy made a custom panda/bear cake for my partner’s 50th birthday to be similar to his first birthday cake. Tammy did a good job despite having difficulty with the cake in store and having to bake a whole new cake. It turned out very nice and tasted delicious.”

“We stopped by Gizzmos between a wedding and the reception at the hall down the street. And when I said ‘we’, I mean about 25 guests! The only bartender/ wait staff was incredible !! She kept up with the orders and we all had great drinks. Bravo Gizzmos!!”

“I have eaten here several times over the last few years, the food is always fresh, hot, and the portions are HUGE. The place is a "mom and pop". it's ran by the owners, a husband-and-wife team. Because it's just the two of them when it gets busy it takes them awhile to answer the phone and there could be as much as a 30–45-minute wait for your food. It's also carry out only. If you don't mind the no dine in option or the wait, this will probably be one of the best Chinese food places you have eaten at in the downriver area.”

“I'd been wanting to try this place for years. A few days ago, that opportunity arose. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, bacon, onion, mushroom, and green pepper.

I thought it was really good. The toppings were fresh and the crust had kind of a chewy crunch. It was almost a combination of Mickeys pizza in Lincoln Park and Old Franks Pizza in Wyandotte, for those of you that remember.

It took quite a while for it to be delivered. Also, it has taken a while when I've picked up for doordash. They are a busy place though. So I understand.

Overall, this is a nice little local pizza place. I would definitely order from here again.”

“Best Pizza I've had in months. Ordered the BBQ chicken, thought they were going to be stingy with the sauce, so I had them add extra just in case. I go pick it up lady at front counter warned me that it had extra and to be careful, pizza eas covered in BBQ. crust was a bit hard but that extra sauce softened it after waiting awhile.”
