“My wife and I finally stopped in last Wednesday after wanting to try it for years but never being in the area during their open hours (Tuesday through Saturday 4-9). We were not disappointed. I had the Chicken Gregorio which was fantastic as was the stuffed pepper soup. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana which she loved and the Ham and Potato soup which she said was delicious. The bread and oil was great as well. We enjoyed watching the train circling above. All staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience.“

“I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review for Alpino because my husband and I love this place so much! It has become my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday for many reasons. I love that they keep the beautiful patio open even during the hottest of days (which is usually what it is for my July birthday), they have the best seasonal menu additions that use local ingredients, and their laid back yet elegant charm is exactly what we always look for. The food is amazing! We love unfussy food that lets the quality ingredients shine and the raclette with a touch of honey just makes me grin from ear to ear (not to mention the tomato soup that is out of this world). The Frulingzauber "spring magic" cocktail is my favorite of all time. I would drink one every day for the rest of my life if I could. Of course, none of this would matter if the people weren't wonderful at Alpino, but they are just as warm and inviting as the food. I loved that they all signed a birthday card for me when we were there last. This is definitely a gem of a place that you don't find everywhere.“

“This lil cozy place is a hidden gem in Southgate! We were recommended by our Ameriprise planner (thank you Shawn) down the road and this is my first time dining here. The food was fantastic with the Lobster Ravioli the best we both have ever had. I see others have commented on the food, so I will focus on the LOVELY staff... from the initial greeting to our fabulous server, Heather. Thank you, thank you for SUCH a lovely time and outstanding dining experience. Since I am from Southgate, I will say...skip the chain restaurants and make Vic's a MUST. We WILL be back again!!!! Highly, highly recommend. They have a tiny patio as well, if want an app and some wine outdoors. Enjoy!“

“This was my first time ordering delivery and it came steaming hot! Usually when ordering delivery from other places, the food comes cold and soggy. This was not the case with Roman Village. The food came hot and fresh, just as it would if I were to dine in. Delivery man was very nice as well. I will definitely order delivery from here again.“

“I had to prepare some food for a potluck, but I had a pretty full schedule. I called Liberati's and they were able to accommodate me on about 36 hours notice with 3 of their 3' party subs. They were on time and ready when I arrived and Frank himself helped to load them into my car. I wasn't ready for what came next: texts, mail, and messages all saying thank you for a great contribution and half of them asking me where to get them. You clearly can't go wrong with LIberati's.“

Plus, it was on a sheet of parchment/wax paper that was completely stuck to the crust & impossible to peel off! The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. “Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“

We waited for a bit before our orders were taken. But the server was very professional. To took very great care of us. Was very apologizing for our wait. He may our visit well worth it. Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious.
