“Everything was good. It was our first time there.. I don’t appreciate the fact that they write in the tip without telling you .I had to go back because I double tipped and nobody said anything . They let me do it without saying a word.. they should tell you that they’re adding the tip in before you pay the bill. I didn’t realize what I did until I got to my car. I had to go back and straighten it out at the restaurant. I have four kids under the age of five. It wasn’t easy for me to do this. When you’re at the table with four kids and you’re trying to pay the bill, you don’t have time to look at it to see that the tip was added in. I gave the Service five stars because I think it was good Service. I just don’t like the idea of that she knew that all this was going on ,and didn’t remind me they had already put the 20% in .“

“Dave Portnoy was right in his video, the pizza here is incredible 🤩 I ordered a medium Portnoy cheese pizza which had a nice crispy crust with a good amount of sauce and the cheese is fully melted without being oily 🤤 Expect to wait around 40 minutes because you have to order there, no online or phone orders, you grab a ticket when you walk in and wait until they call your number to order 🍕The wait is worth it and it's good if you're not a rush and want a real pizza that's not fast food and is fresh 🔥“

“I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review for Alpino because my husband and I love this place so much! It has become my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday for many reasons. I love that they keep the beautiful patio open even during the hottest of days (which is usually what it is for my July birthday), they have the best seasonal menu additions that use local ingredients, and their laid back yet elegant charm is exactly what we always look for. The food is amazing! We love unfussy food that lets the quality ingredients shine and the raclette with a touch of honey just makes me grin from ear to ear (not to mention the tomato soup that is out of this world). The Frulingzauber "spring magic" cocktail is my favorite of all time. I would drink one every day for the rest of my life if I could. Of course, none of this would matter if the people weren't wonderful at Alpino, but they are just as warm and inviting as the food. I loved that they all signed a birthday card for me when we were there last. This is definitely a gem of a place that you don't find everywhere.“

“Roman Village Cucina Italiana is absolutely phenomenal. Their homemade pastas, pizza, entrees, seafood and specialty dishes are incredible. The food is particularly amazing. Their wine list is extensive and selected with care. They have signature dishes that have earned them a stellar reputation within the city of Dearborn/Detroit border where it's located and the Metropolitan Detroit area in general. Come for lunch or dinner, make sure you have dessert and try something new each time you visit. Everything is spectacular. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Very well done.“

“Ordered pizza for pickup while staying across the street at Holiday Inn Express. Although the toppings were plentiful and delicious, the crust was undercooked & a little doughy! Plus, it was on a sheet of parchment/wax paper that was completely stuck to the crust & impossible to peel off! “Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. “Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“

“My wife and I finally stopped in last Wednesday after wanting to try it for years but never being in the area during their open hours (Tuesday through Saturday 4-9). We were not disappointed. I had the Chicken Gregorio which was fantastic as was the stuffed pepper soup. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana which she loved and the Ham and Potato soup which she said was delicious. The bread and oil was great as well. We enjoyed watching the train circling above. All staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience.“

“The last time I dined at The Cook’s Shop was 30 years ago; 1996, when I graduated college.

We went with some friends, made a reservation, and drives at 5:30pm on September 4th for our plans.

The young man who seated us, Carlos Jr., was super pleasant and chatted with us. Next up was our server Ian, who had previously worked in the kitchen for 3 years, so understood the menu and was able to recommend things.

We started with the fresh bread, hot from the oven, and upgraded to bruschetta. It was delicious.

The next course was The Cook’s Shop salad, which is essentially a caesar salad without the bacon. Again, scrumptious. They offer fresh grated Parmesan on top too, which makes it extra decadent.

For our meals, 3 of us opted for the Beef Stroganoff. When I say this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, I mean it. The gravy was the perfect texture and consistency, the beef was tender, and the noodles al dente. Impeccable. Our other companion chose the lasagna, and he said it was fantastic.

Although we couldn’t finish our meals (the ladies, at least), we decided on homemade tiramisu for dessert. It was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness.

I was so impressed that I asked if we could come back for my 50th birthday in 3 months (ugh 😔).

“I had to prepare some food for a potluck, but I had a pretty full schedule. I called Liberati's and they were able to accommodate me on about 36 hours notice with 3 of their 3' party subs. They were on time and ready when I arrived and Frank himself helped to load them into my car. I wasn't ready for what came next: texts, mail, and messages all saying thank you for a great contribution and half of them asking me where to get them. You clearly can't go wrong with LIberati's.“

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.“

“We had a really great experience at Olive Garden, and I definitely wanted to take a moment to recognize our server, Kyle, because he truly went above and beyond to make our visit a great one.

From the moment we were seated, Kyle was friendly, professional, and attentive. He checked on us frequently throughout the meal without ever making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. He was very knowledgeable, made sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we were having a good experience. It’s not often that you come across a server who puts that much effort into taking care of their customers, and Kyle absolutely deserves recognition for it. His attitude and customer service really made our experience that much better.

The restaurant itself was also very clean, clear, and well organized. Everything was in order, the dining area was comfortable, and the staff we interacted with were all friendly and welcoming. You could tell that the team takes pride in creating a pleasant environment for their customers.

As for the food, everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The food came out hot, fresh, and prepared exactly the way you would hope. The quality and portion sizes were very good, especially considering the prices. Everything felt fairly priced, and we definitely felt like we received good value for what we paid.

Overall, this was a great experience from start to finish. Good food, fair prices, a clean and organized restaurant, and friendly staff all made for a really enjoyable visit. But honestly, Kyle was the standout. Having a server who is that attentive, personable, and willing to go the extra mile can make a huge difference in a dining experience.

“Up until tonight, which is New Year's Eve and also my birthday, this restaurant has been my favorite place to eat. Not only is the food spectacular, but the service has always been perfection...until tonight. Usually, the staff is so attentive, and I never have to remind them to bring anything. Tonight, so many things were forgotten and/or incorrect. The server had to be reminded twice to bring us bread. The butter was frozen, so it was impossible to spread, and, in the past, the butter was always room temperature, and that detail was appreciated. Next, my drink was forgotten and the server had to be reminded. My husband requested that his drink be served with dinner which it wasn't and delivered to the wrong person. My friend's meal was incorrect, so she had to sit and watch everyone else eat as she waited. The restaurant did give her a complimentary soup for the mistake, so that was nice. What was probably most upsetting was that we requested dessert plates for cupcakes that we brought and the server told us that we would be charged $20, just for using dessert plates! We weren't asking for a cake to be cut or served, just plates to put our cupcakes on and it was a $20 charge! Absolutely ridiculous, especially since we were a group of 7 that ordered drinks and dinner. So, we had to have our cupcakes in the parking lot. Last, the server told us that they could not split up a bill, so we had to sit there figuring out all the math, and the server used the cash that was part of his tip from one friend to reduce the balance from another friend's bill who was paying with a credit card. It was such a mess, and I was very disappointed. This used to be my favorite restaurant for years, but with so many mistakes, it's hard to want to come back, which is a shame because the food is amazing. My advice is to not come for large parties! I hope management fixes the training of their servers. It used to be outstanding. Not sure who dropped the ball so far.“
