“First time here! When you hear about little bars or restaurants off the beaten path that have great food, Franks Cafe is the place. We squeezed in to the last two available seats at the bar today (Fish fry Friday) and ordered the walleye and the perch. The wait for it was a little long but holy moly, well worth the wait! The owner was in constant motion at the fryers working his butt off as were the wait staff and bartenders too. I’ve had fish all over the downriver area and this place was the best! I’m from Irish Hills where they have good fish too, but I’m telling you, try the fish at Franks! Outstanding!“

“Great coffee but I often get the wrong food order. I got the wrong order when eating there with family. By the time my food came everybody else was done eating so I took it to go. When I got home, I saw they had given me the wrong order. Today, I stopped by to pick up bagels and biscuits and when I got home, they again had given me the wrong order. Lesson learned! Check the bag before you leave the store!

“Visited here because it was open late. Got myself a latte with oat milk, which was extremely good, but notice that they also sold Acai Bowls. I decided to order one. Acai bowls are known to be a little expensive, but this one wasn't too bad. Not only that, but this was probably the best and freshest Acai Bowls that I've ever ordered from anywhere. Not to mention the portion size that coincided with the price. I will definitely be coming back to try all the different kinds that they have.“

“Was traveling for a conference and someone recommended this place and I’m so glad I stopped in. Short walk from many nearby hotels. The food is absolutely beautiful and there were pastries and desserts I’d never seen or heard of and I’ve been to a TON of French bakeries. This place takes it to the next level. I even had to make another transaction after I tried a piece of the mozzarella and Zatar bread loaf because it was that good. “First I'd like to express how delighted I am with this cafe's staff who are always cheerful and welcoming. Their food is extremely fresh, and I am amazed at the wide selection of choices they offer in their bright, and very clean cafe. Try their soups, usually 3 or 4 choices that change each day. I like to get their lamb shawermas too, and really, their mediterrabean offerings are tasty! They also do a bunch of yummy sandwiches made right on the spot to order. I tend to try their daily specials, as those are usually being prepared and cooked freshly just moments before lunchtime. You might find a mac n cheese one day, a lasagne the next. Today I'm enjoying their spiced chicken. You can clearly see all of the ingredients offered, and if you arrive early in the day, they do a breakfast selection to keep you going. As their clean, bright, cozy space is take-out only, the outdoor deck is only 20 feet away, a nice place to eat on non-Winter days. There is a padded bench just inside nearby in a pinch. They're a family business, so please do come and satisfy your hunger.“

“What a lovely surprise it was to pop in for a coffee date with a longtime friend only to realize that we chose a café inside a flower boutique on Valentine's Day, of all days. This particular flower shop is a gorgeous and thoughtfully curated space, welcoming and lush. We sat together on a plush pink loveseat, talking and observing while flowers, chocolates, balloons, and teddy bears flew off the shelves in the most orderly, peaceful fashion.

I ordered the Biscoff shaken espresso (hot) and couldn't have been happier with my choice.

The manager sought out my friend and me individually to comment that we chose the busiest day of the year to stop by and thank us for staying. We assured her that it was actually a heartwarming experience.

However, I took a sip of the Turkish coffee just as it was prepared and was delicious and full of flavor. Extra hot (my request), plain with a layer of smooth syrup coffee grounds on the bottom. Yes, sounds odd, but don't judge until you try it. True coffee lovers will appreciate the smooth taste. The service was wonderful and the staff was willing to answer any questions. “The MOCAD Café is a relaxing and very chill café located directly inside the Museum of Contemporary Art. As expected, the space is designed thoughtfully and exudes relaxation. There are many tables with chairs, creating a perfect atmosphere for small group gatherings or a quiet work sesh'.Not only do they sell coffee, tea, and baked goods sourced locally, but there's also a fully stocked bar with a rotating seasonal menu. Many of the cocktails are bright and refreshing, having been curated by the bartenders. Pricing is fair, as well. The staff are always friendly and kind, and the service has been nothing short of splendid.You don't need to visit the museum to visit the café, as it's located directly to the right of you as you enter the museum. Stop in for a drink or treat, and enjoy the museum if you have time.“

We had the streaky bacon brioche with scrambled eggs, cheddar and fresh chives, every mouth full was so tasty the bacon was crispy, not greasy it was light it actually reminded me of bacon frazzle crisps it was that light. The scrambled eggs were so light and fluffy perfectly paired with the toasted brioche bun. To drink I had a chemex coffee using a Kenyon blend it was fruity and full of flavor. Then to finish a flat white which was beautiful. I highly recommended Sams Coffee we will be back very soon“
