“First time here! When you hear about little bars or restaurants off the beaten path that have great food, Franks Cafe is the place. We squeezed in to the last two available seats at the bar today (Fish fry Friday) and ordered the walleye and the perch. The wait for it was a little long but holy moly, well worth the wait! The owner was in constant motion at the fryers working his butt off as were the wait staff and bartenders too. I’ve had fish all over the downriver area and this place was the best! I’m from Irish Hills where they have good fish too, but I’m telling you, try the fish at Franks! Outstanding!“

“This is a great addition to Wyandotte! The bagels were good and the sandwiches were solid. The bacon is not premium, but does the job, and the eggs are pretty good despite their appearance (square cut from a sheet pan). The coffee is great! If you’re dining in, you’ll get a glass and real plates, so order to-go if you’re planning on taking your coffee with you. You could tell they had a bigger budget for the one in Corktown for the interior, but the vibes here are still good and on the way to really knocking out of the park.“

“Visited here because it was open late. Got myself a latte with oat milk, which was extremely good, but notice that they also sold Acai Bowls. I decided to order one. Acai bowls are known to be a little expensive, but this one wasn't too bad. Not only that, but this was probably the best and freshest Acai Bowls that I've ever ordered from anywhere. Not to mention the portion size that coincided with the price. I will definitely be coming back to try all the different kinds that they have.“

While they currently close at 8:00 PM, it’s easy to imagine this becoming the ultimate weekend beach bar—it’s just begging for some twinkling fairy lights, bean bags and a chilled Ibiza sunset playlist! ​The menu focuses on simple easy food and beverages. While they don’t serve alcohol themselves, they offer a corkage fee option, which is a great touch for those who want to bring their own drinks for a sunset toast. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. ​The biggest win for us? It’s pet-friendly! “First I'd like to express how delighted I am with this cafe's staff who are always cheerful and welcoming. Their food is extremely fresh, and I am amazed at the wide selection of choices they offer in their bright, and very clean cafe. Try their soups, usually 3 or 4 choices that change each day. I like to get their lamb shawermas too, and really, their mediterrabean offerings are tasty! They also do a bunch of yummy sandwiches made right on the spot to order. I tend to try their daily specials, as those are usually being prepared and cooked freshly just moments before lunchtime. You might find a mac n cheese one day, a lasagne the next. Today I'm enjoying their spiced chicken. You can clearly see all of the ingredients offered, and if you arrive early in the day, they do a breakfast selection to keep you going. As their clean, bright, cozy space is take-out only, the outdoor deck is only 20 feet away, a nice place to eat on non-Winter days. There is a padded bench just inside nearby in a pinch. They're a family business, so please do come and satisfy your hunger.“

“This place is amazing. Turkish coffee is delicious and my favorite. I enjoy my regular coffee with heavy whipping cream, maple syrup and cinnamon. However, I took a sip of the Turkish coffee just as it was prepared and was delicious and full of flavor. Extra hot (my request), plain with a layer of smooth syrup coffee grounds on the bottom. Yes, sounds odd, but don't judge until you try it. True coffee lovers will appreciate the smooth taste. The service was wonderful and the staff was willing to answer any questions. Also, any of the wonderful desserts will compliment your coffee. This is my number one coffee shop!! ❤️“

I had their Maple Shakerato and a brownie. The drink had the perfect level of sweetness once stirred, and the brownie was soft with rich chocolate chunks, really satisfying. The ambience was also great; the indoor seating area had a calm, cozy vibe. Most people were working or studying, so it wasn't too loud, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.“

“First time at Sams coffee the food was beautiful. We had the streaky bacon brioche with scrambled eggs, cheddar and fresh chives, every mouth full was so tasty the bacon was crispy, not greasy it was light it actually reminded me of bacon frazzle crisps it was that light. The scrambled eggs were so light and fluffy perfectly paired with the toasted brioche bun. To drink I had a chemex coffee using a Kenyon blend it was fruity and full of flavor. Then to finish a flat white which was beautiful. I highly recommended Sams Coffee we will be back very soon“
