“I finally got the chance to try Tall Trees thanks to their newer extended hours! I was greeted by Tori who was super kind and helpful - they even had great recommendations for me and were able to answer all the questions I had about the menu. As someone who is plant based I loved that there were options for me! I tried the Later Tater which was scrumptious and flavorful with every bite! I also had to try all of the sides including the Red Pepper Cashew Pasta Salad (loved it with the olive tapenade on top - nice touch), Gigante Beans (herby dill deliciousness) and the star of the show was truly the BBQ Potato Salad! I’m hoping in the future there are even more options for sandwiches on the menu for plant based eaters!“

There was a customer being incredibly mean and disrespectful (not usual from other times I’ve been here) and the manager and barista handled it VERY well. “Was traveling for a conference and someone recommended this place and I’m so glad I stopped in. Short walk from many nearby hotels. The food is absolutely beautiful and there were pastries and desserts I’d never seen or heard of and I’ve been to a TON of French bakeries. This place takes it to the next level. I even had to make another transaction after I tried a piece of the mozzarella and Zatar bread loaf because it was that good. I’m not usually that into bakery style breads but this was insanely soft and the flavor was like nothing I’ve tasted before. Wish we lived closer because we’d be back everyday!“

“I have a new favorite cafe! Today was my first visit to Moondog Cafe on Linwood in Detroit. I loved everything about it - the ambiance, the people, the food, the decor. The staff I met seemed like very friendly, inviting, and interesting people. I had a black cherry soda with cane sugar that hit the spot and a savory curry pastry that was absolutely incredible. I definitely plan to be back; I especially want to come back some time when a show or musical event is scheduled, as the stage and set-up looked like it will be ideal for intimate musical performances.“

“This is my go to loacal bakery from savory to sweet they have it all they make bread fresh all day long and at some of the best prices as well. There prices are amazing as well. They do boba and Ramen as well but there steamed chines sausage buns with egg are where it at!!! Tend to get 2 to 3 ever time I go there. This is a smaller place as well be prepared to get your food or sweet and take it home or over to suprise a friend or family“

“First I'd like to express how delighted I am with this cafe's staff who are always cheerful and welcoming. Their food is extremely fresh, and I am amazed at the wide selection of choices they offer in their bright, and very clean cafe. Try their soups, usually 3 or 4 choices that change each day. I like to get their lamb shawermas too, and really, their mediterrabean offerings are tasty! They also do a bunch of yummy sandwiches made right on the spot to order. I tend to try their daily specials, as those are usually being prepared and cooked freshly just moments before lunchtime. You might find a mac n cheese one day, a lasagne the next. Today I'm enjoying their spiced chicken. You can clearly see all of the ingredients offered, and if you arrive early in the day, they do a breakfast selection to keep you going. As their clean, bright, cozy space is take-out only, the outdoor deck is only 20 feet away, a nice place to eat on non-Winter days. There is a padded bench just inside nearby in a pinch. They're a family business, so please do come and satisfy your hunger.“

“We absolutely love Cannelle. The quality of the food here is unmatched, and it’s honestly the closest thing I’ve found to some of my favorite bakeries over in Europe.

My husband and I come here often and I’ve never had anything I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. The sandwiches are great, the bread, the pastries, everything.

I highly recommend any of fruit pastries shaped like the actual fruit they’re flavored.

The only thing to note is that the cafe itself is very very small, and seating is limited. This is a popular location so sometimes it can be really crowded inside. Additionally, keep in mind theres not a lot of parking available.“

“I always stop by Percent Coffee before work, and it’s honestly one of my favorite coffee spots. The drinks are always really good, and the workers are super nice and welcoming every time I come in.
