“I came in here a few months ago right when the new owners took over. I feel as if they did a good job modernizing the place. There is a spot to play pool and you can also chill and sit outside on the patioI don't know if they serve food at this point or if they plan on serving food in the future. The atmosphere of this place is a lot more vibrant with colorful lights and better seating, that is compared to how Dabrewski's was a few years back when I visited. The prices of the drinks are not too expensive either.Overal, this place is modern and the prices are decent.”
“These tacos are GREAT ..all capital letters GREAT. The staff is super friendly, prices are awesome and the tacos are GREAT....had to say that again...my FAVORITE spot for tacos in the area.. or any area ”
“Good taco truck food served up fast and fresh by friendly people. There's a lot of selections on the menu board and prices are pretty reasonable. The food here is actually better than a lot of Mexican sit down restaurants. Definitely worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.”
“Made fresh and with love ! Tammy , Tabetha ,& Laura give great service and sell amazing yummy burgers don't forget the chips for your burger !!!! You'll be blown away !!! .”
“Anybody reading this, my mamaw was the barmaid there beginning in the 60s. Annie Ruth Ladd. They also lived above the bar for some time. My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. Y'all probably knew my papaw too his name was Jim Ray Boatwright and he was known in River Rouge as being one of the Town drunks lol God rest his soulCan't wait to stop in and reminisce! Also, if anybody knew my family or can share stories, please let me know. Thank you.”
“So I've been here many times and it's had different names over the years, but it's a little smooth spot, never any drama. The game changer and what got the 5 star rating is the food and drinks! The top shelf long Island I had was so good and the perfect size and the food was 10/10 expensive but worth the money. Good quality and fresh.”
“I Love this bar it is a great bar it just recently opened up again I'm excited for every weekend. Open mic on Fridays there's also stand-up comedy the bar is really coming together everybody should come down and have a great time with us. I consider myself as family with the bar because I live right next door and I'm there all the time and they're very kind and courteous to their customers. And it's a place of dancing pool games old school jukebox and great times..... Stay tuned more is coming”
“I've only been to the Light House a couple of times. Each time, it has been okay. The place seems a little rough around the edges but the place does have a cool theme. They may have remodeled within the past few years or so.Keep in mind, the place is cigarette friendly and there is no food. The bathrooms are a little rundown as well. Despite that, there is a nice picture of all of the light houses on Erie located in the restroom. There is a room to right with a couple of pool tables. I've heard that the pool tables aren't that nice but I know since I didn't actually play.Overall, I was somewhat impressed with this bar. Nothing fancy but not a rundown hole in the wall like some may conclude based on where it's located.”
“GREAT TIME TODAY !! HAD BREAKFAST AND IT WAS LOADED !! IAM GLAD DEBBIE AND VICKY HAVE STARTED THE GRILL AND DELICIOUS BREAKFASTS !! LOW REASONABLE PRI ES AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND FRIENDS !! STOP IN AND ENJOY A REAL HOME COOKED meal ?”
“Moved into the neighborhood a few years ago and decided to try this place finally. Wow! I should have stopped in long ago. The food was great, the server quick, efficient, and knowledgeable about the products and recommended a dish to try.”
“Excellent service from the staff. The chicken nachos were amazing and would recommend them. Also their pineapple drink is on point. The restaurant is located in the gas station but don't judge a book by its cover.Parking: No issues finding a parking spot”
“Good food and good service too.Vegetarian options: Has many options.Dietary restrictions: Order as neededParking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: Yes, it's kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access”
“We came to The Auburn Cafe with a party of 12, We had reservation. Everybody enjoyed their meals from the steak to the Grape leaves and kabobs. The kabobs come with only the meat cooked, veggies raw on the side. The Lemon potatoes were awesome. The service was very good and fast for as busy as it was. It was a nice evening out. Not a real fancy place but good food. Will visit again.”
“Still my favorite coney around only downside is the hours miss it being 24 hours just wish they were open past 7. Food is usually always good. Never go wrong with the chili cheese fries. The Pitas are always slappin. Prices keep changing but I guess that’s to be expected these days.”
“Okay. Short and sweet! This place is awesome! My husband and I have been going there for a few years now, and we have ordered everything on the menu! Breakfast, lunch, dinner. The place is clean! The service is great! The food is excellent! We drive from Detroit's westside (miles away) about once a week, just to dine there. The food and prices are worth the trip!Vegetarian options: The people who own this place are so precious! They will adjust anything on the menu to your liking!Parking: Plenty of parking”
“Cannot go to bed tonight without writing this review first. Sat at the bar and service was impeccable. Bartender/waitstaff really knew the menu well. Ordered the trout, beet salad, and gnocchi all of which were flavorful and texturally perfect. For dessert, ordered the upside down carrot cake and pavlova. Ate every last bite even though we were already full. We will be coming back and bringing friends!”

“If you're looking for a quieter spot to enjoy a drink and conversation, Bar Pigalle's outdoor patio is a hidden gem. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it's the perfect retreat on a warm evening.”
“Outstanding food, great service, extremely cozy (maybe 2 dozen seats?). Started with a variety of oysters (the housemade kimchi was excellent), followed by tinned tuna belly with their housemade briny jardiniere, ending with maybe the best lobster roll I've ever had (no mayo, some chili oil heat) and perfectly prepared broccolini. The broccolini was actually on the tasting menu but they were generous enough to make it as a standalone side for us because we wanted to experience enough other things. Can't say enough good things about our dinner. Cocktails and dessert were really good too, though the dinner was on a level above.”
“Having been to Le Supréme multiple times in the last month (I've now had; brunch, and dinner service) I can say it's easily one of my favorite spots. My first time walking in the space I was amazed at all the attention to detail. It's an impeccably Parisian bistro with dark hardwood, and cosy booths. Servers float through the dining room in white shirts and ties, they're friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The food leaves nothing lacking, from perfectly poached eggs with hollandaise at brunch to the punchy yet creamy Filet au Poivre. Something as simple and classic as Bistro-fare isn't as simple to execute so perfectly each time and yet here we are. For those looking for a real showstopper do not miss the seafood tower! With food like this, and a really well curated wine glass and bottle list, I'm going to be coming back as often as I can!”
“Best place for bakalavas. Owner of the store is very respectable and kind. Whenever, I visit Detroit, I make sure to visit Galata. Awesome restaurant❤️❤️”
“I can’t believe today was my first time dining at Breadless. This black owned jewel was delicious. Ray’ana was the employee to help me narrow down my options and offered samples of the Agra as well as the Jerk Chicken. She was extremely pleasant and helpful. I had the Pastrami Classic with turkey. I was worried that I wouldn’t feel satisfied so I also ordered the house garden salad. The pastrami classic was delicious. The sandwiches are wrapped in various greens. The Reuben sauce was so flavorful. I only had a bit of my salad because I was satisfied with just my sandwich. I tried the Pomegranate with a dash of the cucumber agua. What I enjoyed most about the drink is that it was flavorful but not sweet. This is the type of place I’d come back to and just try a different menu item each time. Most items felt calorie friendly and conscious. Highly recommend visiting BreadlessParking: Parking was plentiful, I can see it being more difficult depending on what’s happening in the city but it was plenty of options in the lot.”
“Typically I pop in for a few drinks and never order food, it was noticed by management. Surprised I never order food they were dedicated to get me to try the food so they gave me a meal to try!! I can’t believe I’ve never ordered it was so good! The food/drinks coupled with the staff like Autumn, Gabby and Morgan make this place more then worth visiting!”
“Service and ambiance were first class. Caesar salad prepared table side and Parmesan Mushroom Risotto were exceptional. Both Steaks was very salty and a little tough for a ribeye prepared medium. One steak was sent back because it was closer to well done after sitting on the hot plate. Will try again in the future and ask for light seasoning and for them to leave my steak unsliced to avoid it over cooking the interior on the hot plate its served on.”
“I haven't been out in a while so my daughter recommended this place I I went in a I paid 100dollars for a couple of tables! I was later approached bye a young lady and was told we had to spend at least 200 dollars for drinks and we were only at 80 dollars! Then I was told! She thought we booked online! I felt really uncomfortable! But I loved the loved the Live band !”
“Vegetarian options: Amazing Drinks coffee tastes fabulous and their tea is one of the best and rich tasting. customer service there is top notch. They also got variety of dessert and savoury options ?☕️”
“Our amazing server was Jacob and he provided great recommendations. Our appetizer and our meals were phenomenal. We ordered the Pecorino Cheese Plate as our appetizer per his recommendation and it was a culinary experience. We will definitely return on our next trip to Detroit.”
“Three of us went to dinner at 530. Great fun! Employees were friendly and good on the job. Comfortable at every level. We ordered many different dishes and every single bite was superb! A great time and we will return soon!”
“Love Gonellas! First time getting there in 30 years and the sandwiches are absolutely the very best and they still sell their Sunday gravy. It’s no longer an old fashioned Italian market because the neighborhood is gone. But the sandwiches and specialty items are worth the ride. Cen’t Anni GonellasParking: No big deal just parkWheelchair accessibility: Personally don’t use one but it’s obviously well prepared for WC use”
“So I’m from out of town and we needed some place to go to get something to eat so we chose this place due to the ratings. This place did not disappoint. I got the fried shrimp and my friend got the fried catfish and they were both very delicious. Definitely go again if I’m in the area.”
