“Drove 3 hours to try Fredi's and let me tell you, we will do it again. Very much worth the hype.

My husband follows Dave Portnoy who claims Fredi has the best pizza in Detroit so of course we had to validate this! We ordered The Don, Fredo, and Santino - no complaints. The Fredo was my favorite though.

“I've been to this place 3 times, tried 3 different items, and each time the food was excellent. This is not fast food. You can tell they use fresh high quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend this place.”

“This place is amazing! The food was seriously so good. I ordered the chicken bowl with Cheetos, and I’m not gonna lie, it was probably the best bowl I’ve ever had. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and was made really well.

The workers were also very nice and welcoming, and my food came out really quick. You can tell they care about the quality of their food and service.

Definitely an amazing spot in Melvindale. I’ll definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend!”

“Family owned business. The mom cooks the food at the restaurant part. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the chicken is. Everyone is really nice and friendly.”

“If you like a bar with a great local feel, this is it. It’s the perfect size—not too big, not too small—and the energy is awesome. We loved getting the jukebox going with some 90s R&B; it really got the whole place involved! Great drink specials and a perfect spot to unwind. It’s loud, fun, and nostalgic. A real gem!”

“Big shout out and Thank you to the great staff at White Rhino. The manager /bartender, waitress, and chef, showed out and made things happen, on one of the worse summer storms ever. All around every where was flooded. And instead of closing up and going home. The staff was very accommodating, from the moment me and my family walked in the door. Food was great, Atmosphere was fun. And staff was awesome.”

“This is the Best Chinese Food downriver! The food is fantastic! I have been here in this parking lot. But both times I've come out here the parking lot is trashed and you would never even know that this is excellent food at this restaurant. The thing is people just throw trash all over anymore. I would clean up outside the restaurant all the time just go out there and check twice a day it would make a big difference in your business. Clean windows help a lot too. Just saying but the food is excellent!”

“I'm Editing this review because I'm turned off by the employees smoking cigarettes outside. Part of the reason why I don't come here as often.

I'm not against peoples choices in their habits, I'm more turned off by the employees sitting on the bench next to the ice cream place and the few times going into the bakery, the employees smelled of cigarettes.

It's still a great place....

What can't you say about this bakery. Been around for decades. Always has been good. Girls behind the counter are friendly and prices for pastries...outstanding. I recommend the turnovers. Panera who? BTW look at the size of the pastry?”

“When I tell you that this place has the best coffee ive ever had, I mean it. The only one close is Winstons Coffee in Colorado. Samaya is an absolute delight! I went there twice today simply because it was so good and she was so pleasant. Im autistic and talk a lot and sometimes I know im a lot but she didnt have a line and we talked about growing up in similar places and world views and I cant begin to tell you how kind and worldy that young lady is. Im well older and when I tell you that she needs a raise, I mean it. My husband and I will be returning. We live in lansing and this very glorious and beautiful cafe is worth the drive in itself. Melvindale finally has something fancy and delicious and its Yemen Coffee at Mocha Me. I got the iced mocha latte both times. My absolute only complaint is that they dont have bigger sizes.”
