“My girlfriend and meself stopped in randomly after the Eastern Market and had one of the best meals and experience we’ve had while visiting Detroit. The Tokyo muscles were the best muscles I’ve ever had. We had a classic Bloody Mary and their hot sauce really brought some heat! We got the Carmel cookie coffee as well and that was swell as well. The environment and staff especially made the experience even better. We had Rhonda as a server and she was very pleasant and helped give us recommendations that turned out to be very tasty. Overall we were glad we chose to eat at Vivio’s and will definitely be back next time we wander to Detroit.“

“Shout out to Chris, he was our server today and he was exceptionally positive, patient, and accommodating. The flavor profiles of the dishes had a bit of an Asian influence that was subtle and appreciated. The prime rib was medium rare and seasoned well. The halibut ceviche had Asian flavor notes with a small hint of heat. The chicken dumplings had the right amount of heat and were cooked to a nice crisp. The fig salad was also interesting and like every dish here was generously proportioned. The menu was fairly priced and a great value.“

“We came to enjoy dinner for our anniversary. Our waiter was very attentive and observant to our needs. The food was phenomenal! I had the black and blue salad. The steak on it was perfectly seasoned and tender. I added shrimp and they were huge! My husband had the filet and it was the best filet we have even had! Again it was perfectly seasoned and juicy and tender. We will definitely be back. We are staying at the hotel which is beautiful as well“

However lately I've noticed with the chicken and waffle meal instead of 4 wings, they give 4 wing dings which isn't even cost to being equate. The food is always prepared hot but I may have to reevaluate because $17 for a waffle and 4 wing wings don't quite match up.“

Figured it was my lack of finding the menu. Had to flag someone down to learn they were out of ice tea. All those things a server would tell you. But alas you don’t get. So good food, crappy experience! Lower your expectations, taking on the McDonald’s approach, sad really. Oh and if you want an item on the side they charge extra for that?! And with this order system no one asked me how my lunch was- or if I needed anything. So my sandwich was cold and sat awhile before it was quickly dropped at my table. I am so bummed - loved this place. The good news is there are now a ton of amazing options for lunch in Corktown. I recommend tipping much less because you are really on your own.“

“The Ham Shop truly feels like a hidden gem in Detroit, and I’m so glad I stumbled across it! From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The food came out fast and hot, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. And I HAVE to mention the lemon rice soup, SO GOOD, I had to make a request to have one to go!

The owner was also incredibly friendly and personable. He took the time to chat and made the whole experience feel so welcoming and personal.
