I even lived in Hawaii and can say the Dole whip at “The COW” as many of us know it, is at least as good as it is at the Dole facility in Wahiawa! “I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.“

I decided to skip cooking this year, and I’m so glad I did. I discovered Veganly Essential with Vegan Chef Kameal Paree' by a random vegan restaurant Google search, and ordered her Party of 1 Thanksgiving Meal — and wow, it did not disappoint!

The meal came with crispy oyster mushrooms, smoked greens, sweet potatoes, creamy vegan dressing, vegan mac, a cornbread muffin, cranberry sauce, gravy, barbecue sauce…plus a slice of vegan sweet potato pie and lavender lemonade. It was honestly enough to share, and everything tasted amazing.

My absolute favorite? Those crispy oyster mushrooms! They were perfectly seasoned and truly crispy.

“Visited here because it was open late. Got myself a latte with oat milk, which was extremely good, but notice that they also sold Acai Bowls. I decided to order one. “Was traveling for a conference and someone recommended this place and I’m so glad I stopped in. Short walk from many nearby hotels. The food is absolutely beautiful and there were pastries and desserts I’d never seen or heard of and I’ve been to a TON of French bakeries. This place takes it to the next level. I even had to make another transaction after I tried a piece of the mozzarella and Zatar bread loaf because it was that good. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the wait was short, and our server, Veronica, was absolutely wonderful. The food—wow!—large portions, perfectly cooked, and reasonably priced.
