They are SLOW though, so I recommend placing your order online and giving them extra time to make it. I also love that they have gluten free buns!“

“I highly recommend!!!!! We have visited a few times and never regret it. A small, welcoming space with big personality and delicious food and drinks (the espresso martini is my fave). I come for the vegan options so I don’t have to worry about my food allergies, but my family has enjoyed the non-vegan options as well. The environment is fun; Que is always wonderful to talk with and has so much to be proud of in what she has created here…and if you didn’t know - THEY ALSO CATER…and do cooking classes!!! Que’s daughter Kaitlin is great and I enjoy talking with her as well. We’ve been in for live dj and a loud,fun, diverse group of people. “GB’s is my #1 spot for vegan options. They also offer gluten free dough—and they’ve done a fabulous job recreating it people like me who have issues consuming gluten. The environment is laid back, easy & chill. And the view is spectacular on Michigan Ave. Grabbing a seat at the bar—no problem! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. “If you're looking for a culinary adventure, try Saffron De Twah, a Morcoccoan restaurant on the east side of Detroit. The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! Even more wonderful than the food is Chef/Owner Omar's hospitality & generousity!!! One of his core values is giving back to the commuity through the Saffron Community Kitchen and his YouTube presentations. Did I mention he is a James Beard finalist? I will return again & again. I decided to skip cooking this year, and I’m so glad I did. I discovered Veganly Essential with Vegan Chef Kameal Paree' by a random vegan restaurant Google search, and ordered her Party of 1 Thanksgiving Meal — and wow, it did not disappoint!

The meal came with crispy oyster mushrooms, smoked greens, sweet potatoes, creamy vegan dressing, vegan mac, a cornbread muffin, cranberry sauce, gravy, barbecue sauce…plus a slice of vegan sweet potato pie and lavender lemonade. It was honestly enough to share, and everything tasted amazing.

My absolute favorite? Those crispy oyster mushrooms! They were perfectly seasoned and truly crispy.

“The pizza was so good my boyfriend and I came here twice during our week stay in detroit. The edges are crisped to perfection! And you can tell all the ingredients used are fresh. Highly recommend the Packard pepperoni, perfect amount of spicy and sweet. The pizzas are large enough to share and you have the option to do half and half. The only con is there isn’t a ton of seating so you might end up waiting for a table but it's well worth the wait.“

The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! “Was traveling for a conference and someone recommended this place and I’m so glad I stopped in. Short walk from many nearby hotels. The food is absolutely beautiful and there were pastries and desserts I’d never seen or heard of and I’ve been to a TON of French bakeries. This place takes it to the next level. I even had to make another transaction after I tried a piece of the mozzarella and Zatar bread loaf because it was that good. I’m not usually that into bakery style breads but this was insanely soft and the flavor was like nothing I’ve tasted before. Wish we lived closer because we’d be back everyday!“

I am not a fan of Nutella so the worker suggested I replace the spread with the vanilla spread instead. Great choice and recommendation.

What made the experience even better was that the worker suggested the substitution in a non-pushy, helpful manner which aided the problem-solving portion of my ordering. This kind of service is lacking in a lot of businesses these days. This was a wonderful change of pace from what has now become reality.“

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.“
