“Yo! Mootz is a really good spot for Detroit-style pizza! We walked by and saw a lot of smiling faces, so dropped in, and I’m glad we did! I had a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza, as well as a slice of cheese pizza. After the first bite, I quickly understood why there were so many smiling faces in there! What’s cool about this place is that they have a takeout side where you can walk up, get your pizza, and go hang out in one of the neatest alleys in Detroit!“

“Really enjoyed our visit here! We were seated right away, and our food and drinks arrived quickly without any long waits. We started with the calamari, which was fresh and nicely prepared, although I think it could have used a more flavorful dipping sauce. The steak frites were the real highlight—the steak was cooked perfectly, and the fries were crispy and delicious. Overall, it was a smooth, relaxed dining experience with good food and quick service. “GB’s is my #1 spot for vegan options. They also offer gluten free dough—and they’ve done a fabulous job recreating it people like me who have issues consuming gluten. The environment is laid back, easy & chill. And the view is spectacular on Michigan Ave. Grabbing a seat at the bar—no problem! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. “Buddy's Who? What they lack in overall restaurant space. They make it up with EXCELLENT engaging customer service. Fresh ingredients and great food. I've been three times they've hit the mall each time. When you stay open until you sell out, you've got a winner. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures from anticipation. We had the waffle fries, roasted carrots with goat cheese, hot wings and two different pizzas.I don't eat pork, so having a beef pepperoni option was clutch! Everything was delicious, the roasted carrots were a present surprise. Our servers were extra attentive and helpful.“

“A group of us made the quick walk over to Townhouse from the convention center. We were given the option to sit right away or wait a few minutes for a table to be cleared in the atrium. So glad we chose to wait. The atrium is beautiful! Our server, Diego, was fantastic and all his recommendations were hits at the table! He also was diligent about checking with the kitchen to ensure those in our parties with allergies/sensitivities were good with their food choices.“

“I highly recommend!!!!! We have visited a few times and never regret it. A small, welcoming space with big personality and delicious food and drinks (the espresso martini is my fave). I come for the vegan options so I don’t have to worry about my food allergies, but my family has enjoyed the non-vegan options as well. The environment is fun; Que is always wonderful to talk with and has so much to be proud of in what she has created here…and if you didn’t know - THEY ALSO CATER…and do cooking classes!!! Que’s daughter Kaitlin is great and I enjoy talking with her as well. We’ve been in for live dj and a loud,fun, diverse group of people. I love what Que’s got cooking here and she’s got a faithful customer for life! Happy to support her with my dollars and my words of encouragement and recommendations to others!“

“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! Thank you for a dreamy night.“

Here’s what we got:

Sun-dried tomato and basil cheese tart, warmed up with the cheese becoming gooey

Cinnamon roll croissant also warmed up, delicious

I docked 1 star for the unkind behavior of the brunette ponytailed barista. We bought an unhoused gentleman a coffee. He was with a walker and could hardly move. When the barista brought out his coffee, he asked her for cold water. She looked at him in disgust and walked away. I gave her a few mins to bring the water. When I realized she wasn’t going to, I walked over and demanded she give him the water. It was a hot, humid day. We already paid for his drink, it really didn’t need to go like that.

Besides that, all the cashiers were friendly and knowledgeable.“

“We tried the Detroit Pepper Company tonight, first time! We went with the Detroit Stuffed Pepper, beef with parmesan cheese. Very good taste, and huge. We also ordered the Vegan Stuffed Pepper, but we will have to try it tomorrow for lunch...too full from the Detroit Stuffed Pepper! We also tried the lentil bean soup, very nice. And my wife enjoyed the Mango Tastic smoothie:-) We're happy to learn about the Detroit Pepper Company, and we'll be back. Highly recommended. “Summertime Fresh bar was a great experience. We ordered the soba tofu wrap and the garden veggie wrap. Both were very filling, fresh, and extremely delicious. We also tried the avocado toast which was one of the best I’ve had. I’m a volume eater, and believe me, I did not leave hungry. The owner, Curtis, was very gracious and took his time to answer all of our questions and give additional information. It was money well spent and I really look forward to a return trip!“

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.“
