“This cafe is utterly amazing in every way. It hits all the right notes, with a laid-back vibe that makes you want to linger.
The atmosphere is chic, the food was spectacular, and the drinks were phenomenal – especially the pistachio latte with espresso. It’s creamy, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. The apple croissant is another must-try — flaky, lightly sweet, and made with care. But the real star for me is the chicken artichoke sandwich — savory, satisfying, and packed with flavor.
Everything paired beautifully, and despite long lines, service was impressively quick. With plenty of seating and easy street parking, this spot is absolutely worth a visit — we’ll definitely be back.“

“We absolutely loved this place!
It has a peaceful, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere — perfect for working, writing, reading, or simply enjoying a coffee, tea, or a snack from the menu.
The music is soothing, and the vibe is ideal for focusing and feeling inspired.
Laptops are welcome, and everything is spotless — clean, tidy, and well-organized.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
We tried the espresso and an herbal tea (chamomile and lavender) — both were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. They also serve decaf coffee espresso.
Outside, there’s a small garden with beautiful trees and flowers where the birds come to sing, making the scenary from the window even more delightful.
Inside, the presence of green plants adds even more charm — making the space feel warmer, more vibrant, and inviting.
The space is filled with natural light, has high ceilings, and features modern, visually pleasing decor.
It feels fresh, airy, and energetically clean — truly an inspiring place to be.
I would definitely come back.“

“Astonishingly good coffee. Nice menu, great espresso, tea options, great location. Just wish there was seating...tons of standing options.
The coffee is great. Not really a place to hang and work, though, as there is no seating.
Parking can be awful. Street parking is cheapest.“

“I stopped in today on a whim. I was going to go to the big coffee chain up the road but opted against it. I'm glad I did! the baristas recommended a brown sugar latte with pistachio milk and that's what I got, iced. It was phenomenal. Great price point for the quality of the product. Crispelli's pastries. 5 stars, highly recommend and will be back again.“

“Wonderful Coffee! The hand made syrups were probably the best I ever had. I tried two lattes, one with vanilla lavender and the other with honey cinnamon and they were great! I recommend both of them with oatmilk. The owner was super friendly with my party and I and we had a very nice conversation with her while she made our lattes. Down Under is only FOUR minutes away from the TCF, walking. There is NO reason to ever get Starbucks again while I am in Detroit for Youmacon. A definite must for all the con goers to give them a try!“

“If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“Atmosphere and cashiers are genuinely nice. I did a doordash order here yesterday and had the honor of rating a glazed donut. It disappeared when I got in the car so I give this place a 5 stars and will be revisiting. I have to. I wanna try the latte donut so bad“

“This place use to be on my dog walking route. I'd order a drink, snack and a cup of water for my dog.
The snack always tasted great. They have a little table outside where I sat and it was really nice of them to find a container my dog could drink from.“

“Great bakery! They have unique flavor combos on their food. I had a snickerdoodle cookie with fennel seed that was delicious! My cousin had the apple maple pie and she said it was yummy. They had a savory hand pie that day that my cousin bought as well. I've attended a hand pie cooking class there. Everything is hand made and unique.“

“Kept driving by and always wanted to try it....so I did. I ordered a large coffee with cream and sugar, and a half dozen box of mixed donuts that included Birthday Cake, Cherry Almond, Blueberry, Brown Butter, Vanilla Bean, and Raspberry with Sprinkles. OhhhhMyyyyyGoooooodness......best donuts just about that I've ever had. 1000x better than chain or grocery store donuts 🤤 Soooo much flavor 👌🏻 I ordered off a delivery app, so not sure about store cleanliness or friendliness but they were accurate and fast! Definitely will order from here again, and try a different variety 😋“

“I went yesterday for a quick snack. Although they were out of a lot of bagel flavors, it gave me the chance to try something I wouldn’t have usually gotten so I got the Asiago bagel with the scallion cream cheese and babyyyyyy, it was SO GOOD! I got their plain cream cheese too in case I didn’t like the scallion one and even that one was good. It didn’t taste like your regular Philadelphia cream cheese. I will be back. Only thing I’d do differently is not get my bagel toasted, it made it kick of tough but other than that, 10/10“
“Loooved the Arab coffee!! And in such a cute little espresso cup.“

“We are frequent customers of Astoria in Greektown. This has always been a tradition for my children before events downtown. We have never had anything that wasn’t amazing. Our favorites are the baklava and the eclairs but we do our best to try something new on each visit. We love this establishment. It’s Detroit for us — in pastry form.“

“I can’t wait until 4am everyday to be the first customer at this cafe place in the airport. The employees are great conversational and engaging people. The coffee is always hot and made fresh right in front of every customer. I even do work from this location because of the atmosphere so I sit and enjoy my first couple of sips before heading out to inspect the terminal.“

“My new favorite breakfast spot! The food is great. My go to is the Sunrise Symphony, maple oatmeal and Blueberry Pomegranate smoothie. The people there are awesome! I always get a warm greeting and feel welcomed every time I go. Love this place. ❤️“
“Hipster central at its finest. Is a Matcha latte seven dollars? Yes. Is it made by a highly emotionally intelligent human that wants to have a conversation with you and will explain the source of every ingredient and the nuances between macadamia nut milk and milk? Are the Vibes curated to top shelf level instead of the beeping and blaring of Starbucks also yes. If you’re in a rush not for you.“

“Genuinely the best coffee I’ve had in Detroit in a while. Super reasonably priced and the roast always seems so even, we bought a bag of whole beans to make espresso drinks at home and the quality and flavor really comes through. Cant wait to keep bringing folks here :)“

“I tried the Chai ice cream mixed with Biscoff the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The nitrogen gives it an incredibly smooth texture, and the flavor is perfectly balanced with the right amount of chai.
However, I do have one complaint: their hours can be unreliable. Even though their Google listing says they’re open, I’ve found them closed several times when I’ve visited. This is particularly frustrating because I drive from Florida to Michigan for a week during Christmas break every year and always make a point to stop by. It’s disappointing to arrive and find them closed, especially since their mobile ordering system still works.
Overall, the ice cream is extremely creamy and delicious, but I wish they’d improve their consistency with hours.“

“Run, don’t walk to Mitsos! Not only is the food to die for, the Greek iced coffee will be your new addiction. But here’s the best part…the family. Walk in once and Irene I’ll know your name and remember it. Quality food. Quality people. Thank you for always making Noah and I feel special❤️❤️“

“Nice ambience, friendly staff, and I like the little gaming card feature that allows them to bring items to where you are sitting. Cappuccino only available in 6oz size, so what if you are a Cappuccino monster / enthusiastic and would prefer a bigger one ? 🤔🤪“

“Honestly one of the best places I’ve been in Detroit. The ambiance is open and inviting and the food is always great. I’m obsessed with the salad. It’s the most simple combination of ingredients but it hits every time, as well as the breakfast sandwich! Highly recommend coming“

“the coffee was good and it's a cool place to check out. The staff was not friendly at all. we understand they were grieving a coworker, but it was weird when we said "good morning" that she just ignored us. this happened twice so it wasn't like she didn't hear us“

“One of my favorite places! Staff is great. They have limited indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating (covered with heaters for cold weather). The patio is such a vibe!
I love the Belle Island smoothie. I add the adaptogenic mushroom mix to mine for an additional cost. Other add ons include electrolyte hydration boost, maca, pea/whey protein, hangover helper, immune booster, etc.
I haven’t tried much of their food menu, but if you want a good snack, I always enjoy the power bites — made with sunflower butter, date, goji berry, oats, chia, date syrup, and sea salt. Delicious! :)“

“My wife and I were downtown for the pistons game at LCA on Saturday March 9th and wanted to find an affordable hotel to stay at while downtown. Well we found the siren online and as soon as I saw the pictures I was sold! All the reviews we’re good and I really don’t have one bad things to say about this place. It’s a beautiful historic building that’s almost 100 years old and they still have some of the original building in there. The room we got was 170 sq ft and it was not small at all it was perfect for just the two of us. The provided us with all the hotel amenities such as body wash and shampoo. The staff was amazing and so helpful with telling us how to get to where we needed to go. This place the pictures online do NO justice. From the lobby, to the candy bar, to the hallways, to the cafe in the morning to the ambiance when you first walk in it was all good! The only cons were : $40 valet parking and no phones in the hotel rooms. We parked at greektown and took the people mover to Broadway which is directly across the street from the siren. 10/10 would be back! Love this adorable historic vintage boutique hotel 🩷🩷🩷“
