“I was so pleased to find a local tea shop with a plethora of unique blends, but once I arrived at the store, I was truly charmed. Not only is there a vast selection of teas, sets, accessories and gifts, but the owner is so warm and welcoming. I came with an 8-year-old who talks, a LOT. She answered his numerous questions and encouraged him to explore different blends while also helping me find what I wanted, and the whole time she was graceful, accommodating, and genial. The tea is high quality, the blends are delicious, and I look forward to returning soon!“

I docked 1 star for the unkind behavior of the brunette ponytailed barista. We bought an unhoused gentleman a coffee. He was with a walker and could hardly move. When the barista brought out his coffee, he asked her for cold water. She looked at him in disgust and walked away. I gave her a few mins to bring the water. When I realized she wasn’t going to, I walked over and demanded she give him the water. It was a hot, humid day. We already paid for his drink, it really didn’t need to go like that.

Besides that, all the cashiers were friendly and knowledgeable.“

“I had my first visit on a Saturday and the Cafe featured live music! I stayed way past the last note. The musicians, Mike ? and Greg Mathis (not the judge, but the horn player), did a wonderful oldies but goodies show that took their responsive audience back to our young selves — great job! It was great fun being with my neighbors - they were funny and added so much to the stories Mike and Greg told around the music. The breakfast was just as memorable. My turkey sausage egg sandwich was moist and delicious and the cinnamon roll was so fresh and light, it tasted like it was made an hour ago. I tried my first ever latte - creamy and good. Overall, this is a 5-star cafe with a warm, welcoming owner who creates a warm lovely Real Detroit experience!“

“Ive had some tacos before, but Never an Arepa. food is delicious. I got one Chicken Arepa, one bowl, and Definelty was worth popping in after seeing on Chow Down Detroit reviewed. They were out of beef, but definitely gonna pop on here and there. “If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“We used Papelon’s Food Truck for our Quinceanera Event with 70-80 guests. We avoided having to setup food in the venue. Even with so many hungry guest the food was made to order (Arepas, Cachapas and Tequenios) without a long wait. We had all the option of fillings on the menu!!! During peak the pagers were helpful so the guest could enjoy the party inside until the order was ready. It’s a plus if it gets a little chilly outside. At the end there was no leftover since our guest (mostly teenagers) could not stop eating. Non of the food went to waste which is amazing and showed everyone just loved the food! Service was impeccable by the friendly staff who stayed until no-one was hungry! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! P.s. Always good to try the food when popping up at the breweries in the area or at their food market in St Clair Shores!!! My personal favorites are Arepa Papelon e Arepa Reina Pepiada!“

“Excellent teams & service. The curation of food offerings doesn’t seem to match the high quality of the beverages. Food offerings are good, some great even, but inconsistent and lackluster packaged goods in this urbane and refined cafe / financial hub.

Great comfortable seating and gathering options; but the lack of air conditioning in the all glass dining area makes it a bit uncomfortable on even mild days. Mgmt knows this and has placed a couple huge comfort air fans that help, if you sit close enough. For that, I dinged the cafe one star less for atmosphere.

“I stopped in today because I stumbled upon this cute little spot. I was incredibly happy in all areas. The space is so perfect, it’s not very big inside at all but it doesn’t really need to be. Most people grabbing coffee in town are in and out with things to do. The person greeted us promptly and made a perfectly warmed hot chocolate for my son which he very much enjoyed. He loved the latte art so much. My mother and I had Carmel lattes and they were the best I’ve had honestly ever. They were very good conversation while making the drinks as well. My fiancé is jealous and we will be stopping in again very soon.“
