The selection of books is curated well and I'll defy you to leave without making a purchase. The decor feels like you've been transported back in time to old English library from an Agatha Christie novel, all we need to complete the vibe is Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. The quality of the food is superb, they don't skimp and you'll never be disappointed. The staff, are those unicorns who love books and love their jobs. A wonderful hidden gem.“

“I had my first visit on a Saturday and the Cafe featured live music! I stayed way past the last note. The musicians, Mike ? and Greg Mathis (not the judge, but the horn player), did a wonderful oldies but goodies show that took their responsive audience back to our young selves — great job! It was great fun being with my neighbors - they were funny and added so much to the stories Mike and Greg told around the music. The breakfast was just as memorable. My turkey sausage egg sandwich was moist and delicious and the cinnamon roll was so fresh and light, it tasted like it was made an hour ago. I tried my first ever latte - creamy and good. Overall, this is a 5-star cafe with a warm, welcoming owner who creates a warm lovely Real Detroit experience!“

“Ive had some tacos before, but Never an Arepa. food is delicious. I got one Chicken Arepa, one bowl, and Definelty was worth popping in after seeing on Chow Down Detroit reviewed. They were out of beef, but definitely gonna pop on here and there. “I was so pleased to find a local tea shop with a plethora of unique blends, but once I arrived at the store, I was truly charmed. Not only is there a vast selection of teas, sets, accessories and gifts, but the owner is so warm and welcoming. I came with an 8-year-old who talks, a LOT. She answered his numerous questions and encouraged him to explore different blends while also helping me find what I wanted, and the whole time she was graceful, accommodating, and genial. The tea is high quality, the blends are delicious, and I look forward to returning soon!“

“We used Papelon’s Food Truck for our Quinceanera Event with 70-80 guests. We avoided having to setup food in the venue. Even with so many hungry guest the food was made to order (Arepas, Cachapas and Tequenios) without a long wait. We had all the option of fillings on the menu!!! During peak the pagers were helpful so the guest could enjoy the party inside until the order was ready. It’s a plus if it gets a little chilly outside. At the end there was no leftover since our guest (mostly teenagers) could not stop eating. Non of the food went to waste which is amazing and showed everyone just loved the food! Service was impeccable by the friendly staff who stayed until no-one was hungry! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! P.s. Always good to try the food when popping up at the breweries in the area or at their food market in St Clair Shores!!! My personal favorites are Arepa Papelon e Arepa Reina Pepiada!“

“I recently started going to Lucky’s for my morning coffee. The coffee is great and the service is very pleasant. The one downside is what seems to be managements/ownership lack of focus on their inventory/offerings. For example their oven was broken for over a month so they were unable to serve hot breakfast items. Most recently they are out of alternative milk options for what is now 2 weeks. Feels like whomever owns Luckys treats it like a side project.“

I ordered a large coffee with cream and sugar, and a half dozen box of mixed donuts that included Birthday Cake, Cherry Almond, Blueberry, Brown Butter, Vanilla Bean, and Raspberry with Sprinkles. “I came to this Starbucks to get an ice grande chai. Also got a coffee mug for my collection. I sat down and enjoyed my coffee - 20 min later I went back to my van to work on my phone. I went back inside like an hour later and the gentleman that works there ( tall, white, curly hair, with a big smile said “ oh you came back for your mug?” I had left the bag in there and they kept it. My message to Randy Guenette is that she needs to figure it out, try harder, and don't make excuses.“
