“I was so pleased to find a local tea shop with a plethora of unique blends, but once I arrived at the store, I was truly charmed. Not only is there a vast selection of teas, sets, accessories and gifts, but the owner is so warm and welcoming. I came with an 8-year-old who talks, a LOT. She answered his numerous questions and encouraged him to explore different blends while also helping me find what I wanted, and the whole time she was graceful, accommodating, and genial. The tea is high quality, the blends are delicious, and I look forward to returning soon!“

“We just had the best service here! And great coffee, tea, and treats! We had went on a walk and decided to treat ourselves to a coffee. After our order was ready and we went pay we found that I lost my license and id along our walk. OYE! They were so kind and patient with us with our frantic responses. They had us take our order anyway and said that they 'trust us'. Luckily, we found my id and card and went back and paid. They were still super nice when I went back in. “If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“Wonderful Coffee! The hand made syrups were probably the best I ever had. I tried two lattes, one with vanilla lavender and the other with honey cinnamon and they were great! I recommend both of them with oatmilk. The owner was super friendly with my party and I and we had a very nice conversation with her while she made our lattes. Down Under is only FOUR minutes away from the TCF, walking. There is NO reason to ever get Starbucks again while I am in Detroit for Youmacon. A definite must for all the con goers to give them a try!“

They had a savory hand pie that day that my cousin bought as well. I've attended a hand pie cooking class there. Everything is hand made and unique.“

“We recently spent a night at The Siren. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Our breakfast at the Ash Bar was amazing. The best part, however, was the staff. From the valet, the concierge, the restaurant staff and the housekeeping we received nothing but smiles and friendliness with excellent service. It's creamy, nutty, and consistent.Jason, the barista, is far more than a slinger of caffeinated libations. He is a cultivator of community and camaraderie, always so pleasant to chat with. He always remembers me, the warmth of which you won't find at Red Hook Indian Village. It's everything you could want in a local coffee shop.However, my one suggestion for refinement (and why I took off one star) is the baked goods. The croissants, in particular, are devoid of the joie de vivre one expects from such a French patisserie classic. Their almond croissant’s frangipane doesn't possess that dense creaminess, and its dough is bereft of that crispy flakiness as you'll find elsewhere. A modest proposition: perhaps Lucky's could source their croissants from Golden Wheat in Warren (also a revered supplier to Atomic Coffee in Royal Oak).All in all, I would absolutely recommend Lucky's coffee--not just for their coffee but for the experience, steeped in authenticity and charm.Going on a walk or coming after a yoga class? Check it out! Or just go because you need your morning fix. It's one of my favorite coffee shops to go to and I don't need to drive all the way to Red Hook Indian Village anymore.“

The selection of books is curated well and I'll defy you to leave without making a purchase. The decor feels like you've been transported back in time to old English library from an Agatha Christie novel, all we need to complete the vibe is Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. The quality of the food is superb, they don't skimp and you'll never be disappointed. The staff, are those unicorns who love books and love their jobs. A wonderful hidden gem.“
