“Went here for the first time with my daughter, who is a coffee aficionado. We both loved the decor of the place. It’s quite beautiful and the menu offers so much variety that I wasn’t familiar with, I know I’ll be back. Our coffees were unique, and the pastries were tasty. I’ve seen others complain about the price but we paid about $20 for two coffees two pastries and that includes a tip. I don’t think that’s unreasonable in today’s world and it’s so much better than chain coffee shops.“

I had their Maple Shakerato and a brownie. The drink had the perfect level of sweetness once stirred, and the brownie was soft with rich chocolate chunks, really satisfying. The ambience was also great; the indoor seating area had a calm, cozy vibe. Most people were working or studying, so it wasn't too loud, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.“

“I had my first visit on a Saturday and the Cafe featured live music! I stayed way past the last note. The musicians, Mike ? and Greg Mathis (not the judge, but the horn player), did a wonderful oldies but goodies show that took their responsive audience back to our young selves — great job! It was great fun being with my neighbors - they were funny and added so much to the stories Mike and Greg told around the music. The breakfast was just as memorable. My turkey sausage egg sandwich was moist and delicious and the cinnamon roll was so fresh and light, it tasted like it was made an hour ago. I tried my first ever latte - creamy and good. Overall, this is a 5-star cafe with a warm, welcoming owner who creates a warm lovely Real Detroit experience!“

☹️ Negative/Cons - not ideal for work meetings some days - staff play loud music some times and they didn’t used to blast it this loud. It’s loud by meeting standards. Some people do work here at this shop and it’s hard to do customer calls some days depending on the staff and the volume of background music.vThat’s the Only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5“

“Super unassuming but super cute place! Love the vibes, the homemade biscuit was absolutely delicious! So were the fixing (raspberry jam, egg, bacon). I have never heard of combining espresso and ginger beer, but the combination was absolutely amazing! Super unique, but the ginger beer has the right amount of spice kick for sure, highly recommend!

“If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

My only complaint is that they put quite a lot of ice in the drinks and not enough actual liquid. “The coffee is good. I've been to the Sterling Heights location 4 times and I've been impressed everytime. My recent visit I ordered a pumpkin spice latte. I usually go to another coffee shop to get the psl but I really enjoyed the one from Scooter's better than the other coffee shop. The staff is very friendly. I hope there's plans to open a location in the Clinton Township/Fraser Michigan area.“

“Ive had some tacos before, but Never an Arepa. food is delicious. I got one Chicken Arepa, one bowl, and Definelty was worth popping in after seeing on Chow Down Detroit reviewed. They were out of beef, but definitely gonna pop on here and there. They also have a nice food truck for bars or events looking for vendors or food trucks. definitely one worth trying if you see the truck 💯 Juicy, flavorful and definetly filling with just 1.“

I love that they have so many vegan options, as well as gluten free seed bread that you order any of their sandwiches/toasts on. The seed bread is good but quite chewy. “We stoped by the Utica location twice and had mixed feelings about it. The location and ambiance is very cute and cozy. Our first trip we tried the breakfast wraps with turkey sausage which was not our favorite. Next visit we had the bagel sandwiches which were delicious. We tried 4 different lattes on the 2 visits and all tasted off. My husband and I agreed that the coffee/espresso beans they use tasted burnt. If we stop by again, we would probably just try a tea or drip coffee.“
