“I had my first visit on a Saturday and the Cafe featured live music! I stayed way past the last note. The musicians, Mike ? and Greg Mathis (not the judge, but the horn player), did a wonderful oldies but goodies show that took their responsive audience back to our young selves — great job! It was great fun being with my neighbors - they were funny and added so much to the stories Mike and Greg told around the music. The breakfast was just as memorable. My turkey sausage egg sandwich was moist and delicious and the cinnamon roll was so fresh and light, it tasted like it was made an hour ago. I tried my first ever latte - creamy and good. Overall, this is a 5-star cafe with a warm, welcoming owner who creates a warm lovely Real Detroit experience!“

“Absolutely stellar in almost every way. Two things to tweak: today it's maybe 60 degrees, and they just turned the AC on, so it's pretty chilly in here. They also need to modify their playlist; most people are here to work or study, and the music can be a little energetic, heavy bass, loud vocals for that purpose. I have earplugs in and still find it pretty distracting.“

“I've been a few times and it's such a nice cozy space with the seating areas and bookshelves lining the walls. I noticed they had a patio area setup in the back too once the weather got nice. Recently, on 2 separate occasions, I tired their matcha mint lemonade, salted burnt honey latte, and I got a breakfast sandwich too. I really loved the lemonade and would get that again, but that latte I would drink every day if I could I was so sad when it was done lol.“

There is a self ordering kiosk and we were offered the option to use the kiosk or to place our order with the restaurant staff. He was super helpful and patient. “Super unassuming but super cute place! Love the vibes, the homemade biscuit was absolutely delicious! So were the fixing (raspberry jam, egg, bacon). I have never heard of combining espresso and ginger beer, but the combination was absolutely amazing! Super unique, but the ginger beer has the right amount of spice kick for sure, highly recommend!

“I went through the drive-thru earlier and Lydia was the one helping me—she was honestly great. Super friendly right from the start and just had a really good attitude, which you don’t always get these days.
Even though it seemed busy, she didn’t rush me and made sure my order was right. She actually took a second to double check everything and was just really easy to talk to. It made the whole experience way better than a typical drive-thru run.
You can tell she actually cares about doing a good job and treating people well. Definitely stood out.“

“If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“My experience at The Espresso House was excellent overall. We found this spot online, and it is truly a hidden gem. The atmosphere was very masculine and spacious, with large televisions showcasing different soccer games. Very cool to have if you’re a soccer fan. The service was also amazing. The man who helped us was not only welcoming, but also very kind and patient. Regarding our drinks, they were delicious. My caramel latte had just the right amount of sweetness.
