“Little bit of construction on the building next to McDonald's but great service and great food may vary depending on the staffParking: 20 plus spotsKid-friendliness: Kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Several handicapped parking spots and ramps.“
“Great place for South Indian food. Small and cozy. We were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Tried weekend veg combo, food was delicious. Staff were welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. We will definitely be returning for more!“
“Oh my lord, all of the options looked scrumptious. We ordered a pistachio and chocolate croissant, Blackberry/Blueberry croissant, an Almond croissant, Smoked Salmon sandwich, Chicken sandwich and a loaf of Sourdough bread. Everything was excellent and very fresh. It's pricey but worth the splurge occasionally.“
“I was skeptical about this place but the breakfast biscuit and sandwich (both with chicken tinga) was SO good. Like beyond my every tastebud. 1000% recommend this place. The coffee was a very unique flavor, something a coffee connoisseur such as myself, can appreciate. Forget the Starbucks, come to Cafe Amor for the amazing experience in food, drink and people.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options!Dietary restrictions: Loads of gluten free bakery items!Parking: We parked directly across the street, it is paid meter monday-sat 9am-6pm and free Sunday and holidays.“
“Omg this place is life customer service was impeccable. The atmosphere is lovely, comfortable and inviting with a laid-back feel. Most definitely go and visit. The only thing I would say is parking is awful because of its location. Definitely is a hidden gem in the Detroit area. Go and visit coffee was delicious and also was the Old fashioned ?“
“This place is absolutely amazing! The most authentic Greek food in Detroit. The Gyros are soooo good and packed with meat for the price. Next, the fries are the best. Hand cut and seasoned to perfection. There is a nice selection of soda fountain drinks, but try the Freddo coffee it's so good. The donuts are little pieces of heaven. Staff is super friendly and service is fast. I love this place!Parking: Parking across the street.“
“After indulging in a delightful Mexican feast, our cravings for something sweet led us to Momento, a charming spot that exceeded our dessert expectations. Nestled snugly amidst the vibrant streets, this cozy establishment proved to be a haven for those with a sweet tooth.Opting for a chocolate muffin paired with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, I found myself in dessert heaven, while my companion savored the creamy delight of gelato. The interior boasted comfortable seating, with an added touch of elegance in the glass-enclosed area overlooking the alley, complete with inviting lounge chairs. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their attentiveness and warmth made our visit all the more memorable. While parking presented a slight challenge, the convenience of a new parking deck within walking distance alleviated any concerns. Moreover, the surrounding area, located in the burgeoning Corktown neighborhood, exuded a sense of safety and promise, further enhancing our enjoyment. In conclusion, whether you're in the mood for a leisurely coffee, a comforting hot chocolate, or a refreshing gelato, Momento offers an array of delectable treats to satisfy every palate. Whether enjoyed in the cozy confines of the café or taken on the go, a visit to Momento is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended for those seeking a sweet escape in Corktown's burgeoning culinary scene!“
“Popped into this cute little spot and was amazed. There is something for everyone on this menu from an extensive list of Belgian beers to an excellent list of classic and inventive cocktails and even an interesting wine list so grab your buds and come check it out. Also, I have to go back and check out their sourdough pizza which I have heard is fabulous. It doesn't happen until after six.“
“Great atmosphere and prices. Their Cafe Miel (honey latte) was a spot-on dupe for Madcap's, and not too sweet which I appreciate! Pastries were awesome too. The chocolate croissant was so good and didn't shatter into a million crumbs like most croissants, so it's safe to eat in the car, lol.“
“Loved finding this gem! Very serene and an adventurous menu. The service was absolutely amazing. Plenty of seating inside, spacious, and good vibes. They serve Turkish coffee and Yemin lattes. Desserts too. Parking is lot parking right in front. You will pay for top quality coffee, display and all. So expect to pay top dollar and it is so worth it! Can't wait to return!“
“Great coffee shop with a creative array of specialty lattes, including some fun seasonal flavors. I really enjoyed the honey cinnamon latte, though it was on the sweeter end. It would have been much better with half as much sweetness. I’d certainly return for the coffee.Food options leave something to be desired. I tried the only vegan option, an orange pound cake, and found it flavorless and dry.Vegetarian options: Orange pound cake is the only vegan food option. They do offer plant milks“
“Place was packed on a Saturday morning which is always a good sign. Store was clean and had a pleasant vibe. Service was friendly.Had their "Qamaria latte" which I assume must be a signature drink. Double shot of espresso with cardamom and cinnamon. I don't think I've ever had cardamom in a coffee drink before but WOW. It adds all sorts of floral notes which give an intense depth of flavor. Insanely tasty. I also got a slice of baklava that was drenched in honey. Super yummy.Definitely lived up to the hype!“
“Mr Chimetime had me feening over some pie!!:So I ordered the chocolate pie it was good, but the banana crunch with caramel it’s amazing I love the consistency of the salted maple and banana crunch pies better and then the cream of the crop the banana bread warmed up with your fav beverage made me want to go to sleep. Now the service top notch beautiful ladies answering all my questions! When I come back in town I will stop by.“
“Service is always fantastic. The owner is a sweetheart who takes pride in the quality of products and the overall establishment. Great coffee and drinks. Wide variety of pastries and goodies. Overall very chill atmosphere and great community spot.“
“If you're looking for a cozy spot to spend a delightful afternoon, I highly recommend my second favorite cafe. This place has everything you need to unwind and relax: from delicious coffee to a great selection of books, and a unique atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to catch up with friends or enjoy some quiet time alone. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!“
“It's very easy to see why this little spot has so many 5 star reviews. It's a small shop you would easily overlook. It's in the same plaza as the Italian restaurant, Mangiabevi. Got to meet and chat with the owners husband and he was such an inviting man and I enjoyed talking to him. I got the iced caramel macchiato; it was fantastic. Had the perfect amount of sweet and it tasted extremely fresh. The amazing thing about this unassuming spot is that they are a roasterie as well. Amazing customer service, amazing coffee, lots of cool trinkets and specialty items. I cannot wait to be back.“
“First time trying this place today; they are drive-thru only. I got an oatmilk latte that was great, I usually say all coffee tastes the same but this one was very good. The donut (birthday cake) was awesome, the outside was crispy but not hard, and the inside was soft. Pleasant, quick service - would visit again!Parking: There was parking available, but the place is drive-thru only, so you wouldn't need to park anyway.“
“I asked the barista to recommend a drink. He suggested iced caramel macchiato with one shot of bayleis based on what I was in the mood for, and it was perfect. it was the most delicious alcoholic iced coffee I ever had.I truly recommend to try one of the drinks which Emad the barista makes.my brother also ordered double espresso. “ it was the best espresso I have had in this city.He is really picky in coffee. he went to lots of places in this town but did not find what he was looking for. but today he was really happy that he found his desired espresso. he says its not just about coffee, it’s about barista’s experience and talen.“
“Gathering Coffee Co was recommended to me by a local. During the first time visiting, I was given a warm welcome. Jacque, One of the owners of the shop greeted me and shared a delightful conversation. She provided me a great experience and answered all of my coffee questions. Isabelle was the barista that made my coffee and it was fantastic. The shop is very pretty. Seating is great. Wifi is provided to the public and shown on displays located throughout the shop. Outlets are everywhere. The interior decoration is vibrant enjoyable to see. Plants all around the shops. They have a really great retail display and options. There is a spot near the restroom where if anyone needed a clothing item, they can take it. As a coffee shop enthusiast, the experience is beautiful. Parking on the street between the shop and comic store is free. The space is not too crowded and a great place to study, do work, and meet up with friends. They've even got board games and books for individuals who want to do activities within. One side faces the street and contains large windows for a good street view. They also have a darkroom in the back for those who process their own film. It's worth asking about it to the owners. I highly recommend this local business.“
“Staff was personable and helped create a drink that fit my preferences! Highly recommend the orange cardamom latte with some chocolate. Syrup made in house, which is a plus. The vibe was cozy and suitable for somewhere to chill solo or chat with friends over a cup of joe or tea. Free designated parking lot was clutch.“
“Relaxed atmosphere, Father/son run store! Fairly priced and quality fresh roasted coffee. It's really a great spot to hang out and enjoy an expresso and also pick up a fresh roasted bag to go. The guys roast in store, frequently, beans sourced from all over the world, and they are very kind, excellent service!“
“This is my absolute favorite coffee place in the gp/scs area! Their oat milk cereal milk latte is the perfect flavor combination, not too sweet. The food is incredible as well, the made-to-order French toast bites are the best way to treat yourself! They have a good customer loyalty program and are also a great spot for gifts- apparel, mugs, k-cup pods and fresh coffee will not fail to impress your family and friends. Check them out!“
“They have a wide range of soft delectable bagels with multiple options for spreads and ways to eat them.Want an egg sandwich with sausage and bacon? They have it.Do you want a Parmesan Bagel with Honey Sriracha? They have it!If you have never been here, I'd recommend giving it a shot. It just might be your go to Bagel Spot!Parking: The location is in a strip of stores so the parking is actually behind the building. There was plenty of parking on a Saturday morning, which I have to imagine is a pretty high volume day for them.Kid-friendliness: This spot is very kid friendly. There were a good amount of parents who have brought their kids. Very upbeat positive music playing, and very friendly happy staff.“
“It is a little expensive but so worth it everything we have had from here has been super flavorful And delicious. I love that you can buy a few things like Tequenos and cachitos frozen since they have a little market area of Venezuelan snacks and foods. If you have a sweet tooth I recommend trying the chicha which tastes very similar to a rice pudding but in a thick drink form. This is a very unique place if you are looking to try Venezuelan food.“
“I frequent this place every week as a nearby student. The coffee & food are excellent, and the service as well, everyone is very nice and i’ll stay there open to close working on school work. very cozy and great place to chat & work.“
“We ordered a two tier vegan cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was absolutely delicious!! My daughter is allergic to eggs and enjoyed it… so did everyone else (non-vegans). That was my goal and For the Love of Sugar delivered. I do wish there wasn’t an extra charge for vegan cakes, but we will be back either way because it was a great ordering experience as well.“
“Clean brightly lit. Product presentation is awesome. Great variety. When you walk in you start salivating. The cakes I purchased were moist and the frosting is sweet and light. Staff makes you feel welcome. I'm definitely returning and spreading the word.“
“We’ve gotten Dooped Donuts twice downtown and once at the Ferndale Project and they are are always amazing! We decided to order two dozen for our baby shower and they did not disappoint. They were a huge hit and nobody could believe they’re vegan. They’re THE best! Our favorite is the cinnamon swirl!“
“Coffee is amazing. However, I’m dinging one star on service only because it’s Christmas Eve day, and I’m a Jew who wished a Merry Christmas, and got replied back with a Happy Holidays...on Christmas. You can say Merry Christmas, on Christmas. Nobody gonna cancel you. Merry Christmas ? ? ??“
“The Dovetail is a great coffee shop. The owner is a sweetheart, and makes fabulous drinks and food, at reasonable prices. There is plenty of seating, and the place is full of great art to take in, including all of the beautiful wall murals. They have plenty of non-dairy milk options, and tea options. There are a lot of creative drink specials, and the owner does a great job explaining the menu.Vegetarian options: Lots of non-dairy milk options, and vegetarian menu itemsDietary restrictions: Non-dairy milk options, some gf options as wellParking: Large lot with plenty of close parking“
“Love this place. Love that they have vegan options for myself. I love the coffee, food and atmosphere. It’s busy when we go for lunch but I love seeing a little unique place like this bustling in Downtown Windsor. The service is great and the staff are so nice. I cannot understand anything under 5 star rating for this place. Keep on doing you Cafe March 21.“
“If you are looking for a bakery in downtown Detroit the Astoria is a gem. The products are good and they offer a little bit of everything (e.g., cookies, pastries, cakes, etc.) I don't remember seeing pies but they have them too. And to top it off the coffee was $1. Wow, when was the last time you paid $1 for a coffee.“
“It's an amazing quiet, and upscale experience. If you need a low key vibe, you can order a glass of wine and a really good appetizer, and pick a good book sit by the fireplace, or have a nice date with conversation. This is the best spot for intellectuals in MHO.“
“This place is a warm, cozy, refreshing, breath of fresh air. A space where complete strangers are immediately connected by a cup of impeccable coffee or sweet treat. The staff interaction between every customer is genuine, and joyful. A must go to if in Windsor.“
“Really cool place. The staff were very courteous. They have whole bean coffee and some merch. The cheesecake desserts, cookies, and muffins are great. I had the eggnog cheesecake, which was amazing. My wife had a chocolate cookie that they warmed up.“
“Without exaggeration, I can say that this is by far the best coffee I've had in America. They(boldly and unashamedly) serve incredible alternative processed coffees, and if you're into coffee, you are in for a tasty that very few places in the world can offer. Their anaerobic process rivals some of the best competition coffee I've tried in Momos (kor)/Watchouse(uk)/stow (slo) for much lower price. If you come, you should ask them to make you an espresso flight: two espressos and a long filter espresso - an owners own invention i found similar in taste profile to tim wendleboes "nomaricano".“
“Parking here sucks but the coffee and pastries are very good. There are tons of vegan options for drinks and a good amount for food. There's a small sitting area in the back, and the line can end up filling the seating area. If you want to sit and chill, I'd go to another red hook location. All of the other ones have more seating. This one, though, has the best vibes tbh. Make sure you get whatever food you order warmed up it makes it 10 times better.Dietary restrictions: They have all the vegan milk options and vegan quick bites“
“This is a beautiful coffee shop in St. Clair Shores. They have ample sitting with traditional tables and chairs, but also booths, counches, and louge chairs. They also have outdoor seating. For a Tuesday afternoon they seemed busy. You could see friends were gathered, people working on their laptops, and young families dining in. We liked the food, but for what you paid for what you got was below par for us. We had two sandwhiches, a soup, and a smoothie for $40 not including tip. We did carry out and still was very hungry afterwards. I also didn't like how they refused to turn one of the sandwiches into a salad. Most places do that, but not here. They do have Udis gluten free bread as an option, but I don't like that brand. FYI Canyon Bakehouse gluten free bread is way better. I was definitely left hunger, but my husband too. His sandwich was so small. We couldn't believe it. The service was okay, but they made us wait a lotng time. A women greated us after she rang up the women in front of us and then ignored us for about 20 minutes. She might of been putting orders together, but didn't say one word to us. Another woman came from the kitchen and walked passed us to not a word as we awkwardly waited. Finally a young guy from the kitchen came out to serve us and take our order. He was nice. But since we were the only people in line, I can't understand why it took so long.“
“HIGHLY recommend stopping by. I happened upon it (visiting Detroit) on a rainy night, was pleasantly surprised by the hours, offerings, atmosphere, and the lovely staff. I returned maybe 4 more times over my trip, staff was always lovely. Highly recommend the iced Irish coffees and their drip coffee offerings were always stellar. The little cookies I got were phenomenal. I met the owner the last day and he was very jovial and enthusiastic, talked about the music and how they shift the vibes for Detroit's Opening Day. Thanks y'all!“
“Had a new year's day girls date with my family and everything was great. Our server (I wish I could remember her name) was top notch. We came for breakfast but it turns out that the chicken strips my granddaughter ordered and didn't eat were the star of the show! I would definitely take the drive and come back.“
“Milwaukee Caffe makes me feel like I'm visiting a European, standing-only, grab-and-go coffee shop if traditional espresso-loving European coffee shops were hip and queer in the absolute best way. I come here to romanticize my life and walk away caffeinated enough to do some damage.“
“This is the only Starbucks I go to where they always make the drinks correctly and they always engage in a full conversation with me while they make my coffee. I had an extra good time today where the batista said she'd remake my drink if I didn't find it sweet enough after I asked how sweet the drink was. She was very personable and I can tell this location trains their employees well!“
“We stopped in before heading to the Riverwalk to explore. I got the Rose latte... I thought it was great. Not too sweet but sweet enough. We chatted with the barista for a bit and she gave us some tips on where to go and check out. She was very nice. The place is located under the Hanah restaurant. It was very small and had maybe 6 seats if you wanted to hang out.We parked on the street - there was a few10-15 min pick up parking spots you could use.“
“The food is amazing….nice sized portions, healthy, prepared with care. The eating area is small - so be prepared to share a table at lunch or perhaps take out - but this also adds to the ambience of it all. The selection of things to drink with your meal/salad/soup is nice - and the owner is super easy going. When you go there - think of a small New York style deli- grab and go…..small business like this rock!“
“I happened upon this place on accident but my experience was great i got a French vanilla latte that was really good but I think it was missing the hazelnut which makes it a French vanilla latte and the morning side frappe could have been blended smoother but the person I got it for enjoyed it. The bacon and cheese croissant was ok it had something spicy on it and I wish I would’ve known because I don’t eat spicy food however that could have been my fault for not asking but everything was great and the service was even better and the cafe is beautiful“
“One of the few great places to grab a pint downtown. From the moment you step in you can tell its meant for beer lovers. A huge selection of delicious beers, labeled, explained, and categorized perfectly. Every holiday they always have a great holiday themed brew that I always enjoy. The prices are great for the quality you get from these local brews. They even have a small of assortment of snacks and candy if you need a snack, and also allow food to be ordered. The brewery's commitment to quality is evident in each meticulously crafted beer. The diverse range of styles offered something for every palate. The knowledgeable staff are happy to shared insights and enhance the overall enjoyment of the tasting experience. The ambiance, coupled with the friendly community vibe, made it a perfect spot to unwind and savor exceptional brews. Whether you're a seasoned beer connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, this craft brewery offers a tasteful journey i always enjoy. I look forward to my next visit to explore more of their inventive creations.“
“One of my favorite coffee spots in the D! A bit unique in that you can have your coffee beverage made of any of the many types of beans and roasts they have available thanks to their Javabot that uses a system of tubes connecting their various types of beans to the barista station. Kind of fits with the whole factory vibe They also have the types of coffee broken up into Full bodied (dark roasts), balanced (medium roast), and mild roasts in case you need some guidance as to what to choose. Want your latte made with Jamaica Blue Mountain beans? No problem! I usually take my coffee black as a pour over, aeropress or drip so I do the "brew by the cup" option which I think they do as an Americano but don't quote me on that. It is pretty unique. You can of course also by whole beans as well which I usually do. They are located in the lobby of First National building at Campus Martius so you can easily do some site seeing after grabbing your cuppa Joe. Parking in the area is usually street parking a few blocks away or the parking structures on Congress.“
“This place has 3 ways it serves the neighborhood: There is a cafe with drinks and to-go style food that is well-made and fairly priced. It has a laundry mat. And there is a nice sized upstairs space for community needs and fun stuff like ballroom dancing. People behind the counter have always been nice. The space is clean and well-lit. Free street parking is on Mack and Beals. It is a comfortable place to visit.“
“Adorable place!!!! The decor, even the bathrooms are SO CUTE. I got a mocha and it was good, more foam on top than I'm used to but still good. Bought some strawberry sprinkle shorties for me and my daughter and they were amazing. My friend ordered the quiche and she said it was delicious. Definitely want to come back!“
“Always a pleasant customer service experience every time I stop at this location. I visit family in this area and make it my business to stop at this particular location every time. My French vanilla cappuccino and Boston cream donut is always fresh. Cute building! Glad it’s back! Thank you!“
