“Our Family owned this bar back in the late 70s- early 80s, I was just a child. Now I own a great historic tavern in Marquette, Mi called Remies. 4th generation in the business, I believe the Candlelight and Remies are very similar, I would love to go back someday. God bless both places, and all the great times they have provided.”

“This place is not messing around with anything. This is a top flight restaurant. It's a place for a special occasion. Take your own bottle of wine if you want as they only serve pop and coffee. The grounds are something to see, so plan on a half hour for that. While we ate peacocks roamed around outside the windows. It's truly a great experience and a gem of a place for Michigan. Go here and experience it. It's a somewhat hidden place in the city.”

“It's located inside the BP gas station which was previously redone and looks awesome inside and out. Staff was very friendly and made a great sandwich, they loaded up on the toppings and will definitely be back soon for another sub. No where to sit inside so take out only. Not a ton of parking since it is a gas station.”

“I ordered the catfish fillet, rib tip dinners with a side of greens with Mac and cheese. The catfish, rib tips and greens were amazing- Mac and cheese was not creamy to my preference yet still good- the young man that waited on me went above and beyond-I am from another state with an iPhone on 8%, the young man went to his car and grabbed his charger so I could charge my phone that I needed the GPS to get back to the hospital where my sister was.Thank you “They Say” I say yes to They Ssy!! ????”

“I'm commenting on the Kroger at Old Eight Mile Road and Harper Avenue in Harper Woods. It's a relatively small store compared with other Kroger stores within a two mile radius. It does have everything necessary for a family to get through a week of meals. Someone who hasn't shopped a Kroger Super Store probably will not notice the store's smaller set list. I and my family do buy Kroger branded items, and Private Selection brands a great deal. Decent amount of choices at the deli and fish counter. More than enough fresh cut beef chicken and pork in the meat cases. And the vendor packaged lunch and dinner racks are always nicely stocked. Produce department has always gotten employee attention anytime I visit so I buy with confidence here. All the coolers in the store have been updated within the past 15 months or so. Won't comment on the grocery aisles; seem typical to me.”

“Cannot go to bed tonight without writing this review first. Sat at the bar and service was impeccable. Bartender/waitstaff really knew the menu well. Ordered the trout, beet salad, and gnocchi all of which were flavorful and texturally perfect. For dessert, ordered the upside down carrot cake and pavlova. Ate every last bite even though we were already full. We will be coming back and bringing friends!”

Started with a variety of oysters (the housemade kimchi was excellent), followed by tinned tuna belly with their housemade briny jardiniere, ending with maybe the best lobster roll I've ever had (no mayo, some chili oil heat) and perfectly prepared broccolini. The broccolini was actually on the tasting menu but they were generous enough to make it as a standalone side for us because we wanted to experience enough other things. Can't say enough good things about our dinner. Cocktails and dessert were really good too, though the dinner was on a level above.”

My first time walking in the space I was amazed at all the attention to detail. It's an impeccably Parisian bistro with dark hardwood, and cosy booths. Servers float through the dining room in white shirts and ties, they're friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging.The food leaves nothing lacking, from perfectly poached eggs with hollandaise at brunch to the punchy yet creamy Filet au Poivre. Something as simple and classic as Bistro-fare isn't as simple to execute so perfectly each time and yet here we are. For those looking for a real showstopper do not miss the seafood tower! With food like this, and a really well curated wine glass and bottle list, I'm going to be coming back as often as I can!”

“Service and ambiance were first class. Caesar salad prepared table side and Parmesan Mushroom Risotto were exceptional. Both Steaks was very salty and a little tough for a ribeye prepared medium. One steak was sent back because it was closer to well done after sitting on the hot plate. Will try again in the future and ask for light seasoning and for them to leave my steak unsliced to avoid it over cooking the interior on the hot plate its served on.”

“Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!”
