Wonderful Coffee! The hand made syrups were probably the best I ever had. I tried two lattes, one with vanilla lavender and the other with honey cinnamon and they were great! I recommend both of them with oatmilk. The owner was super friendly with my party and I and we had a very nice conversation with her while she made our lattes.
Down Under is only FOUR minutes away from the TCF, walking. There is NO reason to ever get Starbucks again while I am in Detroit for Youmacon....read full review

Streetside @ shelby is a cute, trendy, quaint gem that is easy to find. As soon as you walk in, there is a sign and animal prints on the floor to show it is downstairs. The space is not very big inside, but it does not need to be. It is a great spot to stop into while downtown, perfect to relax and dive into a book. The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in explaining the difference between coffee options. They make very good conversation while making the drinks. The coffee is consistently good with fun rotating specials. The espresso was excellent and perfect. The hot chocolate was perfectly warmed and the latte art was loved. The Carmel lattes were the best. The vibe is crafty and cozy, making it a great escape from the hustle and bustle. Dietary restrictions: They had almond and oat milk.
