The food and service here are amazing!
Delicious food, wonderful employees. My new favorite Greek restaurant.
We ate there for late lunch on NFL Draft Day 1, Thursday. The food was delicious! I had a gyro and side of onion rings, yum! Very nice, clean atmosphere and friendly, attentive server. I’ll definitely be back!

Located in the Penobscot Building, Athens Souvlaki Downtown offers quick, fresh, and fantastic Mediterranean food. The food is great, delicious, and fresh tasting, with a small chicken green salad that comes with fresh hot pita. The pita bowl with chicken and gyro are also popular, and the pita bread is often called the best ever. The food comes out hot, fresh, and very tasty, with marinated, tender, and perfectly cooked chicken breast. Portions are great for the price, and Halal options are available. The service is perfection with kindness and execution, featuring friendly, attentive, and polite staff who provide a warm greeting. The owner checks on customers to ensure satisfaction. The restaurant is very clean with plenty of seating, and is wheelchair accessible. Although busy at lunchtime, seating is prompt. A great place for a quick bite with healthy Mediterranean options and great flavor. Highly recommended.
