Here’s what we got:

Sun-dried tomato and basil cheese tart, warmed up with the cheese becoming gooey

Cinnamon roll croissant also warmed up, delicious

I docked 1 star for the unkind behavior of the brunette ponytailed barista. We bought an unhoused gentleman a coffee. He was with a walker and could hardly move. When the barista brought out his coffee, he asked her for cold water. She looked at him in disgust and walked away. I gave her a few mins to bring the water. When I realized she wasn’t going to, I walked over and demanded she give him the water. It was a hot, humid day. We already paid for his drink, it really didn’t need to go like that.

“I was visiting Detroit for a good friend’s wedding and decided to check Alba out because it was one of the places they recommended on their wedding website. The space is cool, the service was friendly and reasonably quick, the iced vanilla late I got was tasty, but the star of the show was the Egg Sandie. I can say confidently that it’s one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. I was a little skeptical since I usually have bacon or sausage breakfast sandwiches, but I was totally blown away. It is somehow simultaneously light but still filling and is soooo flavorful. It’s a very unique sandwich that I’ll be dreaming of for a while. 100% will come back to this spot if I’m ever back in town.“

“Summertime Fresh bar was a great experience. We ordered the soba tofu wrap and the garden veggie wrap. Both were very filling, fresh, and extremely delicious. We also tried the avocado toast which was one of the best I’ve had. I’m a volume eater, and believe me, I did not leave hungry. The owner, Curtis, was very gracious and took his time to answer all of our questions and give additional information. It was money well spent and I really look forward to a return trip!“

“This coffee wasn’t to bad. Service was pretty quick. Several pour over options. I don’t have a ton to say about it as it wasn’t an exceptional cup of coffees but it was an enjoyable coffee to start my day. Able to drink it with no problem. I didn’t have any food but lots of pastries. Nice little atmosphere on the inside. I would assume this is best shop in this area. I didn’t try any others but they did a good job.“

The staff is very friendly. The Service is outstanding, especially on the weekend. They are always busy but they know how to get line down. I'm here every weekend and the main person i see here is Crystal. I had to ask staff who she was... She know how to run the store and amazing with her staff. “If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“This location is a block away from my parents house and my Dad goes in 6 times a day. When they found out my Mom had a heart attack on Thursday they sent her a bouquet of flowers. Also someone from there dropped off a bowl of chili and bun for my dad for dinner since my Mom couldn't make him dinner. This store went above and beyond. Awesome workers at this Tim Horton's.“

“Excellent teams & service. The curation of food offerings doesn’t seem to match the high quality of the beverages. Food offerings are good, some great even, but inconsistent and lackluster packaged goods in this urbane and refined cafe / financial hub.

Great comfortable seating and gathering options; but the lack of air conditioning in the all glass dining area makes it a bit uncomfortable on even mild days. Mgmt knows this and has placed a couple huge comfort air fans that help, if you sit close enough. For that, I dinged the cafe one star less for atmosphere.

“I stopped in today because I stumbled upon this cute little spot. I was incredibly happy in all areas. The space is so perfect, it’s not very big inside at all but it doesn’t really need to be. Most people grabbing coffee in town are in and out with things to do. The person greeted us promptly and made a perfectly warmed hot chocolate for my son which he very much enjoyed. He loved the latte art so much. My mother and I had Carmel lattes and they were the best I’ve had honestly ever. They were very good conversation while making the drinks as well. My fiancé is jealous and we will be stopping in again very soon.“

“I had a last minute morning meeting at work where I had to bring in drinks and food, and for the life of me I was not having an luck with where I can go to and solve my problem. I was about 2 minutes away from this specific Biggby and let me say, thank the Lord that was the case.

I walked in and the gentleman who was helping me, who later told me he was the owner of the establishment, was the picture definition of what customer service should be.

I dropped a large order on them with no prior notice, during their busy time, and was met with nothing but positivity on the staffs end. The whole team was moving like a well oiled machine. They finished my order, by extension saving my behind in an extremely timely manner.

Thankfully, the pros don’t stop there. The food was a hit! The breakfast sandwiches were so fresh you’d think they were home made. I’ve always been a fan of their coffee in general so I’m not sure if it was just the positive experience influencing my taste buds, but the coffee was also to die for!

I’m so glad to have found a quality establishment to frequent next to my job that doesn’t break the bank or sacrifice quality for profits. The only regret I have is not having stopped by sooner! Thanks guys!“
