“Great bakery! They have unique flavor combos on their food. I had a snickerdoodle cookie with fennel seed that was delicious! My cousin had the apple maple pie and she said it was yummy. They had a savory hand pie that day that my cousin bought as well. I've attended a hand pie cooking class there. Everything is hand made and unique.“

This isn't exactly close for me, but definitely worth it.They have a nice lounge, seating area for enjoying your cookies and a hot beverage. “I went yesterday for a quick snack. Although they were out of a lot of bagel flavors, it gave me the chance to try something I wouldn’t have usually gotten so I got the Asiago bagel with the scallion cream cheese and babyyyyyy, it was SO GOOD! I got their plain cream cheese too in case I didn’t like the scallion one and even that one was good. It didn’t taste like your regular Philadelphia cream cheese. I will be back. Only thing I’d do differently is not get my bagel toasted, it made it kick of tough but other than that, 10/10“

“Good customer service skills ? love they fresh doughnuts I've been to this place every since I was a little girl this is my go too spot to get fresh doughnuts they are family oriented as well. It's good in the neighborhood as well and you can smell the aroma of they doughnuts from the outside in that's how you know they doughnuts be fresh out of the ovens. And they take out the old doughnuts from earlier and replaced them with new fresh doughnuts ?“

“A former work friend and I went to Greektown today for lunch and stopped in here after for some desserts to go .
I got a piece of Black Forest cake , $5.95 , and it was great !!!
This is basically a carry out location with many bakery treats to choose from .
They package your order very nicely in a string tied sturdy box no matter how small of an order.

“We are from toledo and drove by this place and stopped in. He had several options of cheesecake and regular cake. The prices weren't bad, 45$ for a whole cheesecake, which I feel is pretty reasonable as cheesecake is usually pretty pricey. He (the owner) was very nice and friendly and recommended banana pudding cheesecake. We took the recommendation and was glad we did. It was excellent. Banana pudding, only cheesecake. We also got a piece of German chocolate cake. The cake was unbelievably moist and also very good. I'd say if you're going to a function, bring one of these cakes and show off. We will definitely make the hour drive and come back! I really want to try the strawberry or superman cheesecake that were also options.“

“I am from Los Angeles and stumbled into a video about this place before my trip to Detroit last week (Sep 23 thru 27). Of course I had to check it out. It did not disappoint. That falafel sandwich was SO good! The falafel itself was soft and green on the inside, perfectly crunchy on the outside. (The cook was nice enough to give me a piece of falafel ahead of time to appreciate what I was getting myself into).The sandwich also had roasted eggplant which was perfectly done, lightly fried cauliflower, French fries, a simple cucumber tomato and lettuce topping with a splash of sauce that was bbq-like that added even more flavor. I’m ready to call it the best sandwich in the entire state of Michigan. We need something like this back in LA. It would be a hit. I highly recommend that sandwich. I also recommend you buy some bread on the way out.

“Estella's Vegan Cusine has the best deserts for any event. We recently was in Detroit for our daughter and so -in-law's baby shower with several vegan attendees. Chantelle made many outstanding deserts: Rasberry-Lemon Bars, small Strawberry Crunch Bundt cakes, Brownies, Cake Pops, and cookies. All of our guests loved the deserts! Please use Estella's for any Vegan Cusine or Desert!“

“My family and I JUST finished our meals from SPS.

I ordered the catfish dinner with mac n cheese and greens. The catfish was fried perfectly. It was meaty, tender, with a nice flavor. The Mac and cheese had the perfect balance of cheesy and creaminess. The greens were just perfect; tender, not overly seasoned.

My husband had the turkey chops, rice n gravy, and fried corn. His only disappointment was in the scarce gravy on his rice. Other than that, he enjoyed the meal. I tasted his fried corn and it was a beautiful infused of sweet and light spice (I’m ordering that next time).

My son got the wings and the same sides as me.

Overall we enjoyed the meal. The sweet potato muffins were a nice treat. We also grabbed two pies; coconut sweet potato and pecan sweet potato. Oooh the pecan one was just toooo good!“

He spoke so highly of them, especially Jamal, stating what a great man he was. “I just found out that this place sells the famous Pakistani dish Nihari and decided to try it since the Nihari cafe near my house closed down a while ago. I was surprised that an Iraqi bakery would have Pakistani dishes but I'm glad we gave it a go. The nihari was absolutely delicious and the naan was better than any Indian/Pakistani restaurant. The owner was also very welcoming and friendly. I would suggest calling in advance tip make sure they have a batch of nihari ready before heading there.“

Oh, and did I mention their coffee is AMAZING? The pumpkin spice latte is better than any with their homemade syrups, but I am a fan of the brown sugar matcha year-round.
