“My husband and I saw a review of Sicily's, and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint! We got the deep dish, and an order of meatballs, for take-out. It was an hour drive to get home. I had a bite of it while it was cold, and it was super good! I put the rest of the piece in the air fryer, and it was amazing. The sauce is fresh tasting, and the crust was crispy on the bottom, and chewy in the middle. The cheese on the edge was slightly brown, and crisp, just the way I like it. This was absolutely the BEST pizza I've ever had, and I've had a lot in my almost 65 years! Meatballs? Another best ever! Tender and so much flavor, with a good amount of marinara, so that every last meatball has as much as you could want. It was DEFINITELY worth the trip, and well worth the money! I would be in so much trouble if I lived closer, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! And to top it off, the Chef/Manager was SO nice and friendly! We had a very nice chat with him about the sourdough, and the restaurant, and how much he loves what he does. And you can tell! I highly recommend trying this place, they are about 1 block off of the freeway, and easy to get to.“

“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! “Summertime Fresh bar was a great experience. We ordered the soba tofu wrap and the garden veggie wrap. Both were very filling, fresh, and extremely delicious. We also tried the avocado toast which was one of the best I’ve had. I’m a volume eater, and believe me, I did not leave hungry. The owner, Curtis, was very gracious and took his time to answer all of our questions and give additional information. It was money well spent and I really look forward to a return trip!“

“My friend and I had lunch at Coriander Kitchen and Farm yesterday 6/23. We came back because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much! However, at this visit the food was not so good. I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.“

“Fantastic beer coming out of the east side of the state! Watch out west side breweries. Great beer selection wirh brews that a consistent and varied. The IPAs are tasty and hoppy while the porters are robust and warming in the cooler months. Big, big fan of Elephant Juice and Sweater Weather - this combination covers my whole year. The brewery is a nice space, funky and welcoming. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, can't go wrong here.“

“Brewery Faisan is a pretty cool place. It’s located in a renovated industrial type of building, and the space across the street is all green space now. It’s like a little island in a somewhat worn down area. The interior is very comfortable with plenty of tables and a bar, and the atmosphere is relaxed with lots of light wood tones. There is some outdoor seating too, but the inside sounded better on my visit. Their beer selection had something for all palates, and I tried a little bit of their tripel and their Italian pils. Both were good and had no off flavors, so I was happy with the beer. I bought several cans to go, and I was thrilled to find out you can buy singles, so it’s easy to sample a lot. The King Eider Belgian dubbel was my favorite so far, and it’s a very drinkable version of that style. You should definitely give this brewery a try if you’re able to.“

“Went on a Saturday night because my partner heard they had live music. I thought it was weird that the live music was not advertised on website or social media. Musicians were fantastic, playing instrumental jazz versions of popular tunes. What I hadn't realized is that the musicians would be across the street from the restaurant. It looks like they have a bar setup in the music area but it was closed.
We both got a soft serve margarita and plant based tacos. Margarita was tasty, light on the booze. The tacos were INCREDIBLE, we are still talking about them days later. We did both feel that the serving size of 2 tacos seemed small for the price and small for a dinner since no side dish is included but the taste was spot on and we appreciate that the menu had several plant based options.“

What was even better was that this Black-owned shop delivered in good service and outstanding quality and great varieties of coffee and teas! I had the delicious salted caramel latte!! And the best part was LITERALLY THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH I have ever had at a coffee shop!! I had the turkey and cheese deluxe sandwich with their house sauce and Swiss cheese! “If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“Jumbo’s is the dive bar that all these other wannabe “dive bars” try so hard to be. There is not a single window; the only sunlight here creeps in through the back door. The only food sold here comes in a bag, but food still gets brought in, and usually shared.

The TV in the back is the one with the game on, and the patrons on that side of the bar are locked in. The other TV has on a B-Movie you’ve never heard of, serving as the perfect backdrop for everyone on that side to quip with each other.

There aren’t really strangers here, but if you want to sneak away there’s plenty free open table seating… and a patio… and a four-quarter-push pool table… and a jukebox. This place rocks.“
