The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! Even more wonderful than the food is Chef/Owner Omar's hospitality & generousity!!! I decided to skip cooking this year, and I’m so glad I did. I discovered Veganly Essential with Vegan Chef Kameal Paree' by a random vegan restaurant Google search, and ordered her Party of 1 Thanksgiving Meal — and wow, it did not disappoint!

The meal came with crispy oyster mushrooms, smoked greens, sweet potatoes, creamy vegan dressing, vegan mac, a cornbread muffin, cranberry sauce, gravy, barbecue sauce…plus a slice of vegan sweet potato pie and lavender lemonade. It was honestly enough to share, and everything tasted amazing.

My absolute favorite? Those crispy oyster mushrooms! They were perfectly seasoned and truly crispy.

We also ordered the Vegan Stuffed Pepper, but we will have to try it tomorrow for lunch...too full from the Detroit Stuffed Pepper! We also tried the lentil bean soup, very nice. The food is absolutely beautiful and there were pastries and desserts I’d never seen or heard of and I’ve been to a TON of French bakeries. This place takes it to the next level. I even had to make another transaction after I tried a piece of the mozzarella and Zatar bread loaf because it was that good. I’m not usually that into bakery style breads but this was insanely soft and the flavor was like nothing I’ve tasted before. Wish we lived closer because we’d be back everyday!“

One of the cakes was a custom flavour not on their list of options, I let them know what my request was and they provided options on how they could make it work. If you are ordering try to give at least a few days notice ( I gave a week). These cakes are not something thrown together- they are custom made just for you and I imagine they take some time to plan and prepare.“

“So disappointing. Yearssssss ago, this place used to be my go to for Mediterranean dishes. After 2020, this place has consistently gone down hill. At first it was "hit or miss" but its all "miss". “I ordered a London fog and had it with a dark chocolate cookie. The tea was very flavourful, I had it with oat milk, and the cookie was soft and not too sweet. I THEN had a miso caramel latte and a yakgwa (traditional Korean honey cookie). The latte came with vegan tofu black sesame marshmallows and they were soooo good and cute.
