Wonderful restaurant, authentic polish cuisine and you get a lot. Be prepared to take home half your meal, so worth every penny! The food was amazing! The waitress was super sweet and though it got a bit busy, she was there for anything we needed. I definitely recommend.
Reminds me of the food I was raised on. I love polish food and my Poish heritage. Everything was excellent and the Potato Pancakes were out of this would. Just like Busia used to make. I will be back.
I've been to the Polonus Restaurant many times and find their food very good. When I'm in the Wyandotte area, I will stop and pick up a quart of their pickle soup which is the best around. Unfortunately, I arrived ten minutes before they open but waited. The older staff person who unlocked the door was not so friendly and somewhat rude when I and another customer finally got in to order our carryouts. After this experience, I think I will try to make the soup myself...
