China Palace was not too bad considering what me and my friends went for. Its a standard chinese buffet. It was definitely a little outdated in its decor, but too be fair it's what I come to expect from some of these main stays for chinese around here. The server and the rest of staff were excellent, and we're very attentive, even if some had airpods in or were talking over the phone with others. The only real reason its truly not a 4 or 5 star is the food. While I dont expect a lot from a buffet, I was still a little disappointed with the quality of food. There are higher quality chinese buffets nearby, but if you want to go for the novelty of one this one will do.

2025: Was there an ownership change? The name has changed... Seems similar but feels like a shadow of what it used to be. Staff is still friendly but the food has gone down hill. The ingredients for the hot pot are not fresh; some of the dim sum appears to be reheated from another day (some of the food came out cold) and lacks their distinguishing flavors. Buffet is large but also not fresh. Food is bland and unexciting. No longer do they have the fresh carts of dishes to select from from fresh made chef specials. Would probably be better if they offered dim sum occasionally and advertised it as a special event so they could do it well.

2023: The service is efficient but not as friendly as it used to be and that has really taken away from the atmosphere. Dim sum is still good but the experience isn't as enjoyable as it used to be.

This place used to be great. Unfortunately during our last visit, there was a slime in my ice tea. Sent it back and they brought me a new glass that also had slime in it and now some weird white floating debris in it. I gave up on that and drank my husband's water. Unfortunately, I realized too late that that too also had some sort of floating debris in it. My daughter got the sweet and sour chicken and pulled a piece of plastic out of her mouth. I tried to get some of the New York steak tips with veggies and most of the steak was fat per piece. We used to like coming here but unfortunately the cleanliness has gone downhill.

Food was great but they were being rude about us having a baby in the restaurant with our family, and threw away our baby bottle right when we walked out of the place (not even a minute)

Lots of mediocre buffet choices. Lots of salt & msg. Sushi not properly chilled, deep red dyed ginger for it.😳
I don't know if this is typical 'Chinese' in Michigan but leaves a lot to be desired. Will not be back...

One of a kind chinese palace, it's like being transported to China. Food wise it is ok, I've had tastier meal. They do have some exotic foods like frog legs 😁

I love Chinese food but this place was $24.36 for just me. If you like fish and blue crab, it might be worth it. I came for Chinese and I'm seeing American and other countries. Fried bananas is not Chinese. Neither is pizza, garlic toast, or chicken wings.
I go to get dessert and come back to a pile of plates on my table. No care, no nothing. I'm one person, I tipped her close to 25% and I have to get my own food. I had to leave bc if I didn't somebody's child was going to get in trouble with me.

To the people with the child running around the restaurant screaming, first of all. You are the parent do something. Second of all, it's a hazard. Your child could get hurt or cause others serious injury. Lastly it's a restaurant have some respect for others. Not everybody thinks that your child running around screaming is cute. It's more like a cat in heat. Annoying. No excuses. I hope the older sister isn't momma #2, she is a child not your child's parent. Let her be one.

The servers were nice and the place was cool, probably could do some maintenance for their gardens outside, but looks nice enough.
The food however was like it was there since yesterday. It could be because we went at 2 pm on a wednesday and that was leftover from rush? But honestly wouldnt even try again to figure out if thats what happened. I hope this isnt the experience of future customers and we just went at an unlucky time (not that restaurants should have an unlucky time)
