So I'm just going on the food here. I don't care if the person handing me my food is having a good day. Neither the condition of the tables or if the restrooms have disposable toilet seat covers concern me. Our food was excellent, portions very fair for the price, and ready 20 minutes, ordered online. Garlic beef, almond,
and general chicken on point. The 2 picky eaters with me gave praise also.

Ordered for pickup and was disappointed. Got chicken lo mein, and pork chow mein. The pork chow mein had almost no pork, and definitely wasn't what I expected. Thought I was getting a noodle dish but got an odd cabbage dish with almost no meat. The chicken lo mein was okay. Again, there was almost no meat. It's like one decent sized piece of chicken and then a few little pieces. Their veggie fried rice was good.

Unfortunately we took a chance and ordered Vegetable fried rice and they forgot to add the Vegetables. I called to double check that they rang us up for VEGETABLE fried rice and there was no mistake. The manager called off a litany of vegetables that should have been in the dish, but was not and then offered me a free egg roll instead.
No thanks. Won't be back.

I don’t eat here often, only every couple of years. But their tofu is always right on point. Vegetable lo mein is very good. Crab Rangoon is a must.

I like coming here every now and then, mostly because the location is convenient. I'd say the food is really good and the staff is awesome.

I would wait five stars for the food is always good but one day recently this week I think it was I went inside and I waited for my food to be cooked and I went in when a customer was coming out so they didn't know that I had came in from the timing of the sound for going. So they didn't know I was in there. So I hear the cashier and the cook and they're looking at egg patties from freezer saying do you see mode do it look old HE SAYS NOT LOOK TOO OLD give that 1& I SAID NO FRESH. THEY GET ZERO STARS.

50% of the fortune cookies I’ve gotten here have had no fortune :’(
The food has always been fine for the price, but the service is pretty awful. Probably won't go back because of that. One time they messed up my online order, but made me place a new order and spend more money because their online system doesn't give receipts. This last time we ordered online and even though the food was ready, paid for, and there were employees just chatting, we had to wait 15 minutes just to grab it. We asked for service many times, but were only told to wait.

My family and I had enjoyed their food, but their service has went down. Not sure if someone else has taken over, but the service is terrible. On 2/9/24 my father ordered pork egg foo young and he gets shrimp egg foo young. I remembered this incident because I don't eat shrimp and I had to order something else because they were closed when my father got home and we discovered it was shrimp egg foo young. At any rate, they promised my dad they would write it down that they owed him a quart of egg foo young. Yesterday, when I was placing an order and asked to get the pork egg foo young for my father ( I gave the date of the incident and my father's phone number) the person kept asking me if I wanted to get the items I ordered and a "manager" would call me back about the quart of egg foo young. This, of course, happened after being on hold for a while a couple of times. They asked again is I was placing an order or was I waiting for a manager to call me back. I told them I would wait for a manager. They called me back and asked me again if I wanted them to place the order I had. I was told the person who took the order that day was not there. Then I was told I could order the other items and bring it up at the front counter about the quart of pork egg foo young. What sense did that make? I just told the person to cancel the order and have the manager reach out to me. She said to keep my phone line open, do you think I got a call? Absolutely not. I ended up going to King Shing on Carpenter Rd at a friend's suggestion and their service and food was great. I will not be going back to Great Wall again. As another reviewer said there are other better Chinese food restaurants with better service.

The chinese lady at the front is rude and lacks professionalism. I've been going there nearly 20 yrs, but no more. Over the years the qualty of ingredients used in the food has gotten worse of the years. They tell you the order will be ready in 10min, but when you get there you still wait another 15-20 minutes. I told the Chinese woman with the unpleasant disposition that you should not be lieing to paying customers. So I'm done patronizing this restaurant or any Chinese restaurant for that matter. My physician said their food made for Americans are full of MSG and preservatives that are not good for you. He recommended Vietnamese food instead. There's several in the Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor area their food is delectable.
