I went here because the menu looked great, however, the experience was very disappointing. The worker kept stereotyping and telling me “this is what Americans eat, you don’t want to eat this because it has bones. It’s for Asians”. He has no idea where I’ve been and what I eat. Very rude and disrespectful. And the water tastes disgusting

Tried this last night, used to be high end, but then it was sold, now I think it has a new owner again. Combo plate was awful egg roll undercooked and doughy, fried rice had only rice and chicken and was black like soy sauce no vegetables, no bean sprouts pretty much tasteless. Emperor Chicken was basic Sweet & Sour with some vegetables. maybe a little spice. But nothing like the amazing food the used to serve here years ago. Try somewhere else. you can bet I will. Also using a smaller 3 compartment food container than they used to but I guess everyone is getting less for more. I bet they won't last long....

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. Please everyone give this restaurant a chance. Their chicken fried rice is delicious. And on top of that it’s a big quantity it really fills you up. I’ve lived in Ypsilanti 20 years and there’s a chinese restaurant in every corner of town, but LaiLai by far has the best tasting food as well as the most unique restaurant location and design. Who would go to “King Shing” or “Lucky 7” when you have LaiLai. If LaiLai is open and you’re eating at any other chinese restaurant, you’re at the wrong place.
