Came back to write a new review. Since the names switched from Los amigos over to El trompo the food significantly decreased in quality as well as servings. I frequent this establishment, but not no more my quesadilla, came in a taco sized flour tortila today and still costed almost 16$ my box was filled with rice and beans but a tiny quesadilla. I also can't seem to understand why a business would only reapond to 5* reviews. And not respond to the negative ones and try ro make it right. Sad cause this was my favorite Mexican restaurant in ypsilanti despite all the crappy rumers about food quality and cockroaches. I still chose to frequent this establishment because I loved it but paying 50$ today for 2 taco sized quesadilla and a cpl sides of sauce put it out of question for me.

Not a bad Mexican spot. The service was outstanding as we had a large group but they ensure we had plenty of chips and salsa and got our drinks out to us in a timely manner. The food itself was okay at best it wasnt the best i ever had but definitely not the worst. The margaritas were a bit too sweet but not bad as well. Overall not a bad experience at this restaurant. Everything was decently priced as well.

The staff at Los Amigos are very friendly. My husband and I like to go there because they have authentic mexican food and great margheritas. I would recommend their fajitas, the los amigos bowl, and the fajita nachos.
