Spent a large amount of money excited for them to cater my event, only to get there day of, and it wasn't even open. They then tried to blame me for their mistake of taking an order for a day they were closed. Went from one of my favorite restaurants to one that I will warn everyone I ever talk to of their crappy business practices and awful level of professionalism.

We read rave reviews about this place, and we were so excited to try it, but it must have been an off day for the kitchen. My husband and I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken dinner with baked beans, creamed corn and French fries. The chicken breading was excessively dark, a sign of poor oil quality and the fries were soggy and flavorless. The creamed corn had a sauce on the bottom of the cup, but I'm not sure that I would call it cream. The flavor of this entire meal was unremarkable and unimpressive. We were disappointed as we were so hoping that the hype about this restaurant was real. We will not be returning.

Always spectacular food! Highly recommend the chicken thigh for your sandwich. A side pimento cheese corn fritters was delicious and will definitely be back soon.

Amazing food! Anytime we are in Ypsilanti, we always make it a priority to stop by and get some food. Recommend the Lemon Chick and the Hot Chick.

I was excited to eat at what looked like a well reviewed local shop while in town working. It was early so I was the only person in this shop. You would think that equals 100% fresh food, it didnt. You would think spending $20 on a sandwich and fries would get you a good meal, it doesnt. I got limp mushy sweet potato fries and a sad OG chicken sandwich, the bun was toasted but cold (?!?) slaw was mushy and the “southern” flavoring was hardly any flavor at all? Topped with some half melted plastic looking cheese. I feel like a moron spending my money here. This felt like gordon food service someone was trying to pass off like it isnt prepackaged. This is why its hard to feel bad for small businesses sometimes- where is your pride? The canned sprite was great…

I live in the south and the food here easily surpasses any fried chicken I’ve had down south. Casey is awesome as are all the employees. 10/10 food and atmosphere. Highly recommend. We will be back
